 E-learning can be define as education innovation that has transformed the use of
traditional way of learning to the use of modern technology such as video, computer, CD
ROM, Internet, Intranet, Satelit, etc. to deliver content of learning trough electronict
equipment in various learning environment ranging from learning with the teacher in the
classroom using computer, web-based learning and distant learning.
2. What is the importance of eLearning in education?
 E-Learning provides scalability which helps in providing training. All students can
receive the same type of syllabus, study materials, and train through E-Learning. Through
E-Learning, you can save time, and money and reduced transportation costs. so, E-
Learning is cost-effective compared to traditional learning.
3. What are the positive effects of e-learning?
 Studies show that eLearning can help increase student engagement, motivation, and
attendance key requisites for learning. Effective eLearning can also improve
performance on core subjects and foster the development of 21st century skills, whether
in mature or emerging countries.

There are two approaches, they are:
 Focus on Technology :what is technology and how I can use it in teaching English?

 The purpose of learning is about learners being prepared for their future and
reaching their fullest potential as lifelong learners. This means that they have a
voice with the confidence to express their ideas and opinions so they are heard and
taken into account in any situation.

 You are able to link the various resources in several varying formats.It is a very efficient
way of delivering courses online.
 Due to its convenience and flexibility, the resources are available from anywhere and at
any time.
 Everyone, who are part time students or are working full time, can take advantage of
web-based learning.
 Web-based learning promotes active and independent learning.

7. What are the disadvantages of E-learning?

 Most of the online assessments are limited to questions that are
only objective in nature.There is also the problem of the extent of security of online
learning programs.
 The authenticity of a particular student's work is also a problem as online just about
anyone can do a project rather than the actual student itself.
  The assessments that are computer marked generally have a tendency of being only
knowledge-based and not necessarily practicality-based.

 One-on-one learning. Group learning. Course-based learning. Video-based learning.
Synchronous classes run in real time, with students and instructors attending together
from different locations. Asynchronous classes run on a more relaxed schedule, with
students accessing class materials during different hours and from different locations.

 E-Learning is effective at achieving good outcomes

experience. They may be distracted, busy, or simply unmotivated. We live in an age
where attention is at a premium and learners have access to more information than they
