ANNOTATION
The video lesson shows the improvement of my teaching in 5 key areas as a reflection and
continuous upholding of my duties and responsibilities stipulated in the Resolution No. 435
s., 1997 otherwise known as the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers:

1. Article XI Section 4 states that a teacher shall always recognize the Almighty God or
Being as guide of his own destiny and of the destinies of men and nations. In the video
lesson of the teacher, she started her lesson with a classroom prayer, asking for blessings
and protection throughout the lesson.

2. Article II Section 2 states that every teacher or school official shall actively help carry
out the declared policies of the state, and shall take an oath to this effect. For the opening
of face-to-face classes, the Department of Education adheres to the following policies
that must be followed for its implementation. In the video lesson, the teacher reminded
the learners of the importance of following the minimum health protocol to ensure safety
within the learner's environment.

3. Article VIII Section 6 states that a teacher shall base the evaluation of the learners' work
only on merit and quality of academic performance. The video lesson presented a set of
rubrics as a guide for correcting students' output. Thus, it implies that a teacher solely
bases her evaluation on a student's output on the given criteria and not on the teacher's
emotional attachment to the learner and social status of the learner.

4. Article VIII Section 1 states that a teacher has a right and duty to determine the
academic marks and the promotions of learners in the subject or grades he handles,
provided that such determination shall be in accordance with generally accepted
procedures of evaluation and measurement. In the event of any complaint, the teachers
concerned shall immediately take appropriate actions, observing due process. It is shown
in the video lesson that in order to determine the marks of the learners on the discussed
lesson, the teacher evaluates the learners' learning through formative assessments,
performance tasks, and summative assessments.

5. Article IV Section 2. Every teacher shall uphold the highest possible standards of quality
education, shall make the best preparation for the career of teaching, and shall be at his
best at all times in the practice of his profession. The video lesson shows the
perseverance of the teacher to be an effective educator in spite of COVID pandemic. It
demonstrates her adaptability to a sudden change in learning modality.
