The self-reflection exercise is a way of analyzing our own self and see our
strengths and weakness and strategize for the scope of improvement if required.
Past attributes
Digging into my past, I was always an introvert girl who was very shy to
express her feelings, I also had a stage fear whose legs always shook if stands in
stages. I used to avoid any event which holds a public as a viewer. But on the
contrary side, I was a bright student who was very good in studies and speaking.
From about standard 6th to standard 10th, I was always a Class Monitor and
manages all the chores of every subject and students. By this I was very good in
managing people and time management.
But I always lacked in extra curricular activities which became hurdles for
many of my life experiences. I feel many events of my life would be better if
was a little extrovert. And all this was continued till 2018.
An event that changed my personality
In 2018, an important event took place in my life where to manage my finances
I decided to teach to students. In my hometown itself I searched for various
institutes who can provide me with at least 10K salary. After the hard work of
almost 2 months, I was able to crack the interview and was offered to teach
Physics to students of 9th to 12th standards. I was again very nervous as the
standards was very high and the subject was tough to teach. Moreover, I took
the challenge and worked hard at myself first to brush up my concepts of
physics get ready to teach.
This teaching experience somehow removed my stage fear and, on the contrary,
boosted my confidence to speak in front of people. Also, how to speak, in what
tone to speak so as to persuade the other person I have learnt from this beautiful
experience.
Scope Of Improvement
Talking about weakness which I addressed is that if any circumstances is moved
out of my hand, I simply get hyper and after a period of time I lose my temper.
Certain events occurred in my life where I got hyper which them in turn
impacted my health.
To combat this weakness, my childhood friend told me to do meditation on a
regular basis which keep my nerves calm and mind cool. One of my manager
told me that if you could be good at one thing then that one thing shuld be
ignorance. She schooled me to ignore the negative people around and trust your
instincts. If I feel any one is passing negative vibes around me I simply take a
step back and not involved much.
Future Perspective
For future perspective I believe to follow this strategy which will keep me out
of all bad influences and make me more concentrated and focused.
My next goal is to build empathy. Focusing on another person's needs,
problems, and feelings is the key to building empathy, whether it's for
coworkers, family, or friends. It means you have to love them and put their
needs ahead of your own. that you give them your full attention in the moment,
that you look deeply into their eyes, and that you see them as the unique people
they are.
People who are successful often think of learning as something they do all the
time. In today's world, where things change quickly, the ability and motivation
to keep learning and getting better is one of the most valuable traits, especially
for professionals. Reading and deep thought are both great ways to learn, but
the most important way to learn is by living. willing to take risks.
