1. OBJECTIVES:
The students are expected to:

K ---- Describe the different forms or types of media.

S ----Compare each type of media in terms of its contents

A -----Appreciate the different media contents on online sources or in library.

V -----Explain answers by understanding its media contents in classifying media types

2. CONTENT: TYPES OF MEDIA : a. Print Media b. Broadcast Media c. New Media

3. LEARNING RESOURCES: printed materials, multi-media projector, laptop, internet

4. PROCEDURES:
In this activity, the teacher applies knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching
areas.(1)
4.1- Introductory Activity: The students are asked to work with his/her partner and let them
share the different media types wherein they are familiar with. And let students share such
media types to the whole class. (Publishes all possible answers shared by students)
The teacher uses a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy and
or numeracy skills (How much will you spend to the local newspaper per month if it costs Php 20.00?

The teacher manages classroom structure to engage learners individually or in groups in
meaningful exploration discovery and hands-on activities within a range of physical learning
environments.(4)
4.2- Activity : *Presents the topic by:
A. Showing Pictures/video of the different media types
B. Letting them name the things they have seen from the visual/video presentations
C. Letting them give some description on the following media types being presented
by the teacher.
(Small Group Discussion)
The teacher applies a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking, as
well as other higher-order skills.(3)
4.3- Analysis :
The students are tasked to compare each media type based on its contents using
any graphic organizer by observing each type. How could you compare the types of media?
Let the students do the activity in the same group for the reporting activity or
presentation of their output/s
The teacher manages learner behavior constructively by applying positive and non-violent
discipline to ensure learning-focused environments.(5)
4.4- Abstraction : The teacher asks the following questions :
A. How would you identify the types of media based on its contents?
B. Do they have the same format or ways in presenting the data?
C. Can you give the ways in classifying contents using different media types?
What are they? The teacher applies positive discipline inside the computer laboratory.
The teacher plans, manages and implements developmentally sequenced teaching and learning
processes to meet curriculum requirements and varied teaching contexts.(7)
4.5- Application :
The teacher shows another video presentation to the class to let them classify the
contents of the different media types.
Justify their answers
The teacher selects, develops, organizes, and uses, appropriate teaching and learning resources,
including ICT to address learning goals.(8)
4.6- Assessment :
Let the students describe or classify the media types based on the contents
presented through video presentation.
