• FRD check method(Fast Recovery Diode)

1. Caution
(1) Turn off the Main Power prior to maintenance.
(2) Remember the correct position of the cables.
(3) Measure the diode value with a multimeter.

2. Maintenance method
Picture Description

1. Take the module you want to check forward

as follows
Remove the fixing screw on the back of the
module.
Remove the input/output cable and MS-
Connector(2) from the front of the module.

2. Remove module protection cover

1) Left FRD
3.Remove the cable from the diode.
4. Place the tester mode on the diode
and measure both sides of the left diode.

(1):Red (2):Black 0.36
(1):Black (2):Red OL

2) Right FRD 4. measure both sides of the left diode.

* The right and left diodes are installed
differently.
