UNDERSTANDING THE LIFE OF A TEACHER

Answer the following questions:

Why did you choose to become a teacher?

- To be honest, po I don't want to be a teacher because I feel I don't belong or am not good at
teaching because I'm a shy person and have a short temper. But while watching the video of
teacher Sabrina it encourages me to learn more, study well and share my knowledge with the
students who need it. And to be honest, po while watching the videos teacher Sabrina may
nararamdaman po akong kirot sa puso na para bang umantig saaking puso't isipan and
enlighten me that being a teacher is a fun profession. And now bitbit ko po yung mga sinabi ni
Teacher Sabrina sa kanyang mga video.

How did teacher Sabrina encourage her students to follow their

aspirations in the first video? Did she have any impact on her students'
lives?

- Teacher Sabrina encourages her students to believe in themselves, help yourself to do their
best na lahat makakaya mo and Teacher Sabrina trusts his student that all the things that they
cannot do, you can do because teacher Sabrina trusts her students that they can do. Yes!
Teacher Sabrina has an impact on his students' lives because started to trust her student that
they can do what they want.

How would you characterize the DepEd Teachers in our nation based on
the videos of Teacher Sabrina?

- I would characterize the DepEd Teachers based on the video that I've watched a the DepEd
Teachers is a Very hardworking and very passionate you will see their enthusiasm in teaching
and also there are some teacher na hindi gaaano ginagampanan ang kanilang tungkulin bilang
isang guro. And there are steoreotyping in the DepEd teachers like if you are a public teacher
may sasabihin sayo na baket ka nag public teacher? Bat hindi ka nalang nag private school?

In the second video, “Lahat ay Gagaling”, what can you contribute as a

future teacher in our educational system?

- For me as a future teacher the think that I will contribute in our educational system is to share
my knowledge to the young one's and create a program that will contribute the children like
help them or guide them to read and write or join in the different programs to help other
people who needs more attention, love and care.

In the third video, Teacher Sabrina highlighted the metaphor of the

"flashlight," asking, "How can you be a "flashlight" to your students, to
your community, and to our country after two to three years as a full-
fledged teacher?"

- I can be their flashlight if they have a problem, I will be their flashlight to guide them to go in
the right path, I can be their light in their flashlight that symbolize hope to their dreams that
your dream will come true,

The fourth video of Teacher Sabrina emphasized how did she care for her
learners, she also emphasized their battle cry inside their classroom
“Papasa Kami” “Lahat Gagaling”, what is the difference of “maging
matalino” and “maging magaling” as defined by Teacher Sabrina? How
can you apply this principle as a future teacher?

-For me the difference of "maging matalino" is all about knowledge while "maging magaling" is
about skills. I can apply this principle as a future teacher to manifest to your self that all of your
student "lahat gagaling" , "lahat magiging magaling". If you manifest that you will find a reason
to teach your student even though they are slow learner or makulit.

What lessons did you learned from the videos of Teacher Sabrina?

- The lesson that I've learn in the videos of teacher Sabrina is trust your student that all of them
" lahat gagaling" and also love your profession even though walang yumayaman sa pagiging
teacher atleast mayaman ka naman sa studyante, mayaman ka sa pagmamahal ng iyong
studyante and being a teacher is not just a teacher who teach only but also help them, guide
them to thier problem. Teacher na hindi lang may isip but also may puso din sa kanyang mga
students.

Do you believe that teaching is a calling? If? What will be your purpose?
How can you show your love and passion to your learners based on your
major?

- Yes! I believe that teaching is a calling for me because, first i dont really to be a teacher but
when I took the Education I started to like it and also I inspired on the video of teacher Sabrina,
Maybe the purpose that's why I'm here in the College of Education because they need someone
who share their knowledge to the students and someone can help to the different program
about student who can't go to school. I will show my love and passion to my learners by
sharing my knowlege like for example I will share my knowledge about the history of our
country.

Teaching is not about the teacher it is all about the learners, based on the
last video of Teacher Sabrina. How can you “PASS” your knowledge, skills,
attitude and values acquired in CSTC to your learners?

- I will make sure na lahat ng na ituro ko maacquired nila but not only in their mind but also in
their heart.

Why it is important to know the context of your learners? How can you
make difference in addressing the needs of your learners

- To able to know of what kind of strategies of teaching method your going to do for able to
them to learn the lesson, know their interest mag bigay ng different approach.
