SCHOOL LEARNING RECOVERY PLAN ● SY 2022-2023

KASIGLAHAN VILLAGE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
The Kasiglahan Village National High School accepted the challenge to continue the
delivery of education to learners in various ways despite the pandemic and other disasters.
As directed by the issues provided by the bureau of education, the school successfully
complied and implemented distance learning. The "Adoption of the Basic Learning Continuity
Plan for

School Year 2020–2021 in the light of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency" followed by
another issuance in preparation for the other school year entitled "Preparation for the
Adjustment of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Operational Plan for SY 2021–2022" has
greatly served as guidance and direction to all learners, parents, teachers, and stakeholders
to enable quality education and to continue and grow while safeguarding their health and
safety. The more-than-two-year period of distance learning has ended victoriously, and now
that the new normal phase of education, where the face-to-face class is about to begin, a
new mandate by the department has been issued. Whereas all schools are directed to craft
the School Learning Recovery Plan (SLRP) to address the learning gaps caused by the COVID-
19 pandemic. This will focus on the literacy and numeracy skills of students.

The planning team has conceptualized and crafted the SLRP with full dedication, hoping to
combat the educational gaps and crisis in the institution. Through the collaboration and
cooperation of the school head and teaching staff since the start of the pandemic,
frameworks, key challenges, and strategic directions, targets, implementation plan, analysis
and management of risk, monitoring and evaluation plan, communication plan and so on
have been successfully created. This was based primarily based on the 4 pillars of Sulong
Edukalidad, the KITE Framework such as K to 12 Curriculum, Improving Learning Environment,
Teachers' Upskilling and Reskilling, and Engagement of Stakeholders for Support and
Collaboration.

Following the progressive expansion of face-to-face classes, the school developed the
Learning Recovery Plan known as KASIGLAHENYOS SLRCP framework to guide in addressing
learning gaps due to pandemic-related disruptions. This post-pandemic effort shall ensure
that the school’s interventions are effective so that every learner can catch up and
accelerate learning anchored in the DepEd’s Learning Recovery Framework which focuses
on the three priority areas: (1) learning remediation and intervention; (2) professional
development; and (3) health, safety and wellness. The KVNHS intensifies its reading
interventions, conduct regular home visits and follow-ups, implement physical and virtual

tap the services of parent or guardian teacher-volunteers, and develop appropriate
assessment tasks and resources. Moreover, physical and online learning action cell sessions,

adaptive teaching strategies and classroom assessments, and a shift from the traditional
approach to tailored acceleration is being eyed for the professional development of
teachers. Finally, the school shall address the socio-emotional and behavioral recovery of
learners by strengthening the Oplan Kalusugan and focusing on child protection/child online
protection, and the establishment of helplines/health lines.

Kasiglahan Village National High School ensures its readiness for the school year 2022–2023
and in the coming school years through the School Learning Recovery Plan. As we assume
all responsibility for carrying out programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) to improve the
learners' literacy, numeracy, and science skills, we are confident that the education
department's guidance and stakeholders' support are keys to ensure accessible, quality
education and delivering core services.

School Learning to help the learners
Recovery Plancatch up and
accelerate their learning after two years of learning disruption due to pandemic.
By undertaking recovery and readiness in different areas of concern, Kasiglahan
Village National High School will be more equipped to make learning and
standards continue in spite of disruption. With these in mind, COVID19 Recovery
and Readiness Plan which leads schools to identify interventions and concrete
action steps based on current level of recovery and readiness, numeracy and
literacy skills of learners. Our LRP is forward-thinking and focuses on each learner,
the quality of their learning, and their outcomes. This means not slowing down or
looking back at lost “seat time” stolen by a global pandemic but rather stepping
on the grass and removing barriers so each learner can achieve their full potential.

DEPED LEARNING RECOVERY FRAMEWORK

Following the progressive expansion of face-to-face classes, the Department of

Education (DepEd) developed the national learning recovery plan framework to
guide schools in addressing learning gaps due to pandemic-related disruptions. This
post-pandemic effort shall ensure that the department’s interventions are effective
so that every learner can catch up and accelerate learning. The National Learning
Recovery Framework focuses on the three priority areas: (1) learning remediation

following options during the implementation of transition to in-
person classes: (a) 5 days of in-person classes; (b) Blended learning
modality; and (c) Full Distance Learning.
As Instructed by the Schools Division Superintendent of Rizal,
Susana Oribiana, CESO VI, all schools in the division to consider the
arrangement of 3-2 blended learning scheme from August 22 –
September 30 and shift to 4-1 learning scheme where 1 day shall
be given as blended for learners. However, with the large number
of learners in the school, as well as sufficient rooms, and resources,
it is more feasible for the school to conduct scheme where the
students shall have in-person classes every other week respective
to their assigned set-in class.
Cognizant to this precis as well as the alternative given as an option
of the SDS, the school opted to use the 5-1 scheme. Whereas all
the mechanism of the school has been shifted to entail
adjustments to the school environment, learning modality, and
additional safety protocols as preparation for the re-opening of

I. INTRODUCTION
Relative to the issuance of Deped Memorandum no. 062, s. 2022 titled 2022
Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines, released last August 01, 2022, whereas
stating in the paragraph 10 the following,
The Brigada Pagbasa, as form of BE is an after-school reading program in
response to Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa or DepEd 3B Initiative issued under DM
173, S. 2019. All BE implementers are encouraged to conduct this partnership initiative
for reading which serves as a platform to synergize education-related endeavors that
immediately addresses literacy and numeracy learning gaps. This reading advocacy
serves as an avenue for all stakeholders to contribute possible solutions to improve
the country’s education system, especially in equipping the learners with 21st century
skills.
In this manner, the English department of KVNHS, propose to continue the
BRB4-Pagbasa geared on enhancing the skills in reading particularly among grade 7-
10 students. Through this, students shall master their skills gained in their primary years
and reduce the problems brought as they proceed to the next grade level.

I. Panimula

II. Pagsusuri sa Sitwasyon

A. Datos sa pagbasa and pagbilang, resulta ng remidiyesyon /

BRB4 Numeracy-Project GETS-Ka ACTION PLAN for SY 2022-2023

I. INTRODUCTION

Relative to the issuance of Deped Memorandum no. 062, s. 2022 titled 2022 Brigada
Eskwela Implementing Guidelines, released last August 01, 2022, whereas stating in
the paragraph 10 the following,
The Brigada Pagbasa, as form of BE is an after-school reading
program in response to Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa or DepEd 3B
Initiative issued under DM 173, S. 2019. All BE implementers are
encouraged to conduct this partnership initiative for reading which
serves as a platform to synergize education-related endeavors that
immediately addresses literacy and numeracy learning gaps. This
reading advocacy serves as an avenue for all stakeholders to
contribute possible solutions to improve the country’s education
system, especially in equipping the learners with 21st century skills.

In this manner, the mathematics department of KVNHS, propose to continue the

project GETS-Ka geared on enhancing the skills in numeracy particularly among
grade 7-10 students. Through this, students shall master their skills gained in their
primary years and reduce the problems brought as they proceed to the next grade
level.

II. Situational Analysis

Data on numeracy, result of Remediation/Intervention

- Based on the conducted pre-test last school year 2021-2022, 732 Grade 7
students were participated. 538 or 74% of them fall under Proficient level, 172 or
23% of them fall under Average level and 22 Grade 7 students or 3% fall under
frustration level. The 22 grade 7 students serve as the beneficiary of the project
and underwent the online and limited face-to-face tutorial as remediation
under project GETS-Ka.

- Based on the post test results, out of 22 grade 7 students, 13 Grade 7 students or
59% leveled up to Proficient level, 7 students or 32% leveled up to Average level
and 2 students or 9% remained in the frustration level. In total, 20 students or 91%
of 22 students leveled up from frustration level.

- Below is the progress record of each grade 7 students of project GETS-ka:

- The table shows the color coding of the numeracy level of each student
under project GETS-Ka, the red color means they are under frustration level,
brown color under Average level and yellow color under Proficient level.

- From the pretest result shows in the table, 22 Grade 7 students were in
frustration level, but after they underwent the online and limited face-to-
face tutorial started last November 2021 to March 2022, 13 of them leveled
up to Proficient level, 7 of them leveled up in average level while 2 of them
remained in frustration level.

C.I. PROJECT A.L.L.Y. (Advocacies of Learning Leaders for the Youth

of Kasiglahan Village National High School) ACTION PLAN for SY 2022-2023

I. INTRODUCTION
Continuous Improvement (C.I.) is a methodology which continually
assesses, analyzes and acts on the improvement of key processes focusing on
both the customer needs and the desired performance that enliven DepEd’s
commitment to build a culture of continuous learning and improvement. In light
of this, DepEd Order No. 44 s. 2015, re: Guidelines on the Enhanced School
Improvement Planning (SIP) Process and the School Report Card (SRC),
stipulated that with Continuous Improvement, the planning process becomes
more evidence-based, responsive, and systematic.
Relative to DepEd Order 34, s. 2022, which directs all public and private
schools in the country to transition to five days of face-to-face classes beginning
November 2022, despite the heath crisis brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic,
the Department of Education developed a recovery learning plan framework to
guide schools in addressing learning gaps. It is anchored on learning remediation
and intervention, professional development, health, safety, and wellness.
In accordance with these, Kasiglahan Village National High School, one of
the largest public schools in the district of Rodriguez and division of Rizal, is
committed to continuously addressing major challenges that hinder the
students’ learning progress and safety risks that the new normal of education
brought about through its C.I. PROJECT A.L.L.Y. (Advocacies of Learning Leaders
for the Youth of Kasiglahan Village National High School). This project aims to
help students cope-up with the new learning modalities by providing load
allowance to student beneficiaries to reduce communication gap between
teachers and students along with their parents and to reduce the number of
learners lagging behind.

II. SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS

Data on literacy and numeracy, result of Remediation/Intervention

- Based on the data collected from the (VOC or Voice of the Customer) advisers
in the beginning of school year 2021-2022, there were 296 or 4.29% of 6894 total
population of learners in KVNHS from Grade 7 to 10 who were lagging behind
and considered as students at risk of dropping out.
- At the end of school year 2021-2022, those 296 students (100%) were provided
cellphone load allowance under C.I. PROJECT A.L.L.Y and were all promoted to
the next grade level.

Below is the accomplishment report of the said project.
