PROJECT PROPOSAL

Title; WORKSHOP ON RADIO-BASED INSTRUCTION FOR GRADE 2 TEACHERS

Date: December 15-18, 2020

Venue: Tarusan Elementary School, Tarusan, Bataraza, Palawan

I. Rationale

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2020 on the adoption of Basic Education
Learning Continuation Plan (BE-LCP) in the year 2020-2021 in light of the COVID-19 Public
Health Emergency, one of the identified learning modalities is through Radio-based
Instruction. This is compliance to DepEd mandate to continuously provide quality,
accessible, relevant and liberating basic education for all Filipino children. In this
connection, this office will conduct a workshop on radio-based instruction for grade 2
teachers specifically for scriptwriting and audio recording on December 15-18, 2020, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

II. Objectives

The workshop aims to capacitate the participants to develop and write scripts for the
various educational genres of radio-based instruction.

Specifically, after the training the participants are expected to:

1. explain script elements techniques, various structures and formatting for RBI;
2. create scripts for a radio-based instruction;
3. guide teachers to convert modules to radio scripts;
4. produce audio recordings of the lesson; and
5. form part of the core team in the district who will manage the School-on-the-Air Program.

III. Participants
The participants to this workshop are the 50 Grade 2 teachers and selected school
heads of Bataraza I District.
