Objective The objective of this individual assignment is to demonstrate how an
organisation of your choosing can respond to a disruptive technology.

Marks Awarded The marks awarded for this assignment are worth 30% of the overall
marks for the course.
Submission Please submit your report (minimum of 2,000 words and maximum of
2,500 words excluding references) through Blackboard by 06th March
2022.

clear, the assignment can have a max word count of 2,500 words +
cover page and references.
4. The assignments should be compiled professionally and
structured in an appropriate manner.

Assignment Details

Managing Disruptive Digital Innovation

With the recent events of the COVID-19 pandemic, organisations have been tasked with revisiting
business and digital strategies. This has provided both challenges and opportunities for organisations
to transition to digital business models. With COVID-19 accelerating transformation and disruptive
innovation, select an organisation of your choice and describe how disruptive digital innovation
threatens this company’s business model.

You are required to apply Christensen’s theory of disruptive innovation to identify how leaders within
your chosen organisation should respond to not only ensure the company’s survival, but also explore
and exploit the new technology and achieve competitive advantage.

As a general guideline the below template can be adhered to, however this is a guide and can be deviated
from where appropriate:
