Warm up Greet the pupils, take the absences. Ask pupils How are you?
 Pupils’ books closed.
 Put up the Smiles poster on the board.
 Point to Lilly and say: Lilly.
 The pupils repeat, chorally and/or individually.
 Follow the same procedure and present the rest of the characters (Liam,Charlie, Nanny Rose).
 Explain to the pupils, inL1 if necessary, that Liam and Lilly are brother and sister and that Charlie is their
pet.
 Ask the pupils if they would like to have a pet chimp.Why/Why not? Nanny Rose is their nanny.
 Explain what a nanny is and ask them if they have or ever had one.
 Explain to the pupils that this nanny is a special one and that she’s got magical powers!
 Allow them to flip through their books and see what she does.
 Pupils’ books open.
 Play the CD.The pupils listen and point to the characters.
 Play the CD again.
 The pupils listen and repeat chorally and/or individually.
Now I can : Students list what they can do after the 45 min class.
 Listen to the story.
 Repeat the words.
 Use the vocabulary on similar situations.
