1. Did the Aquino government really restored the democracy during their time?
The Aquino government somehow restored the democracy in the Philippines because of former
President Corazon Aquino's programs where she presided over the free elections, appointed an
independent judiciary and restored the democratic institutions gutted by Marcos, most of all she
restored the people's rights as a Filipino citizen and as a person.

2. What are the programs of Aquino?

Former Corazon Aquinos programs during her presidency supported many women's and
women's organization on their campaign for gender equality.the Concerned Women of the
Philippines, Women’s Caucus, GABRIELA, and Lakas ng Kababaihan spearheaded by PILIPINA.
Crafting the Philippine Development Plan for Women (PDPW) 1989-1992, that became the
companion the Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) 1987-1992.The National
Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) provided support for the adoption of the PDPW
and the broader efforts to mainstream gender in government were championed by several
feminist officials in the Aquino administration.
The 1987 Philippine Constitution recognizes the role of women in nation-building, women's
maternal and economic role, and women's special health needs. She also Issued the Executive
Order 227 or The New Family Code of the Philippines, which eleminated many discriminatory
provisions. 1988 issued the Proclamation No. 224 the women's rights and International Peace
Day ND Proclamation No. 227 the observance on women's role in history month.
Aquino has issued many proclamation and act to protect women during her term that paved
their way on gender equality and many women had given a chance to be heard and be a leader
herself.

3. Where did the wealth of the Cojuanco's came from?

Many articles were published about where did the Cojuanco's wealth came from and all those
articles says the same, many historians have been curios about the issue that they even did their
own study. Now I also did some research and it was said that the Cojuanco's wealth really came
from the first Philippine Constitution. The treasure was from General Luna who fell in love with
the daughter of Jose Cojuanco and Antera Estrella named Ysidra Cojuanco that he untrusted the
treasure that was supposedly to be donated to the first Philippine Constitution to be kept by
Ysidra. But after the General Luna was killed Ysidra did not returned the treasure to General
Emilio Aguinaldo. There is also no documents and articles that said that the treasure that was
supposedly for the first Republic was returned. Cojuanco's wealth increased when they
cooperated on the American enemy to look for General Emilio Aguinaldo, they even offered the
enemy the house of Melencio brother of Ysidra to stay in. Melencio Cojuanco offered his house
to the troops of General McArthur in exchange of free travel their ware rice to Manila using the
train of the American Army that made their income to increase more. Research also stated that
after the war between the American and Filipino, Ysidra used the treasure that was left to her to
lend money to the farmers using their land as the collateral. When the farmer's cannot afford to
pay their debt the Cojuanco's will take their land as the payment, the one reason of Cojuanco's
having many properties around Luzon. Some historians claimed that Cojuanco's wealth was
from the First Republic but many articles were considered false because of this untold story.
Some of them are wondering, if the Cojuanco's wealth were really from the First Republic, can
we still get it back?
