BRIGADA ESKWELA KICK OFF (AUGUST 18, 2022)

The GRSNHS Brigada Eskwela Kick Off was held last August 18, 2022 with an array of
activities. The morning commenced with an early ZumBrigada. Participants to the Zumbrigada
were at the registration booth as early as 5:30. Tickets during the registration served not only as
attendance and at the same time entry to a raffle draw. The Zumba started at exactly 6:00 in the
morning with the participants eagerly dancing to a carefully selected lively tune keeping the
morning zumba goers extra alive and enthusiastic. Registration showed a total of ____
participants composed of different Zumba organizations around the barangay of GRS and its
adjacent, the GRSNHS students, faculty and other private stakeholders. The Philippine Army
and Philippine National Police were able to catch up during the last part of the Zumba, since they
came early for the motorcade. The activity runs uninterrupted for 55 minutes and was only cut to
prepare for the motorcade at 7:00 o’clock sharp.
Sweating it all and with only a scarce time left after the healthy Zumba moves,
participants to the motorcade gathered at the GRSNHS grounds. They are the SRB OMEGA
CHAPTER, United Riders Club, United Oragons Riders Club, Kamote Riders, RSAP Riders
Club, Danawin Riders Club, TRS Riders Club, Habal Association, Mixed Riders Club, Damusak
Riders, SRB SKP Chapter, SRB Salvacion Chapter, Sarong Banggi – Ragay, Nueve Ragaynon
Eagles Club, AKRHO Del Gallego Council, AKRHO Ragay Council, AKRHO GRS Chapter,
AKRHO SKP Chapter, TGP Sabang Chapter, TGP San Rafael, TGP Sinuknipan Chapter, TGP
GK Chapter, Tau Gamma Sigma / Ragay, TGP Ragay Council, TGP Alfelor Chapter, TGP DGO
Chapter, TGP Bagong Silang, Religious Organizations, 4Ps, Parent Volunteers, PTA,
Congressional Officials & Staff, Provincial Officials & Staff, Municipal Officials & Staff,
Barangay Officials & Staff, Firemen, PNP, AFP, Alumni Associations, Tutors and also the
GRSNHS students and Faculty.
Everybody had a really good time strolling around the streets of Barangay GRS and
continued along the Andaya highway through Port Junction Norte and Sur and back to the
GRSNHS grounds. Enjoying the brisk air and the hot sun were equaled with a hot “lugaw” and
“sopas” served to everyone courtesy of Team Sopas and Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity. No stomach
was left empty by the generous heart of this two organizations.
Upon the arrival of the participants in the motorcade and after enjoying the free “lugaw”
and “sopas” of Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity and Team Sopas respectively, the Opening Program
of Brigada Kick Off 2022 commenced. The Barangay Officials of GRS headed by Brgy. Capt.
Abel Mercado and SK Chairman Gian Linao were present to grace the activity along with
Committee on Education Chairman, Municipal Councilor Bani A. Senar, the Municipal
Councilors, Hon. Jayvee C. Alvarez, Hon. Kat T. Clemente, the Hon. Vice Mayor of Ragay, Dr.
Elmer A. Linao, the GRSNHS School Governing Council President, Renato Ebora, PTA
President Criselda Tion, GRSNHS Alumni Association Vice President Engr. Ruiz Verdan, P. Lt.
Charly Dawi of Mobile Force Platoon, SSG Jose R. Veluz III of PNP Ragay, Presidents and
Heads participating NGA and Organizations who joined the motorcade earlier, and was made
extra special with the presence of the Schools Heads of First Congressional Districts, Ma’am
Lourdes Sevilla and Sir Ronnie V. Nabus and of course the Chief of SDO CamSur, Division
Superintendent Loida N. Nidea.
Ma’am Loida’s highlighted her speech with so much appreciation of the collaborated and
concerted effort of everyone making the Brigada Eskwela Kick Off 2022 in Godofredo Reyes Sr.
National High School a huge success aside from keeping up with being the Regional Brigada
Eskwela 2021 2nd placer and WINS 2021 Hall of Fame. She was appreciative enough to
enumerate each stakeholder and gratefully recognizing them for fostering exceptional dedication
and contribution to the success of the activity. Notable of which was her appreciation of the
different fraternities and brotherhoods who were actively present the entire activity and all other
undertakings of the school. She commended such gesture as something to be emulated, utilizing
their time and talents to noble deeds and bringing the image of fraternities and brotherhoods to
greater heights in contrast to what many came to believe as tainted images due to hazing and
physical injuries.
Officials and Heads of the organizations affixed their signature on the commitment wall
as their formal gesture of their unwavering and unfaltering commitment to Godofredo Reyes Sr.
National High School in all its undertakings and endeavors.
Launching and ribbon cutting of the Bahay Kubo Aralan were made by the Guest and
Stakeholders. The 10 Bahay Kubo Aralan were built by the respective departments including the
Senior High School along with the support of stakeholders to serve as venue for the Project
KUBO GRS (Knowledge Upholding Basic Learning Opportunities Through Guided Reading
Sessions).
Before the program commenced, Certificates of Participation, Appreciation and
Commendation were awarded to the Guest and Stakeholders.
While the Program was ongoing, a Free Hair Cut were rendered by several barangay
officials while the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police helped in the trimming of
trees, cleaning of designated areas and several organizations went around the school grounds to
collect trash and cups used during the free feeding.
The program lasted until 12:30 noon in time for a simple lunch at the computer
laboratory.
