Pre-lesson: Teacher writes United Kingdom and asks pupils if they remember 1. English Plus 1
the names of the countries that make up the United Kingdom. 2. Student’s Book
Lesson delivery: Activity 3, 4 and 5
1. Pupils refer to Exercise 1. Pupils look at the map and match the words in the p.4
box with numbers 1-5. Pupils can share their answers orally.
2. Pupils read the text about Liverpool (M). Pupils are guided to read the text.
3. Teacher asks pupils which isn’t a capital city based on the text and pupils
share their answers.
4. Pupils refer to Exercise 2. Pupils read and answer the questions based on the
text in their exercise books. Pupils can discuss with their peers.
5. Based on the text, pupils also write down three things that Toby likes about
Liverpool.
6 Pupils are asked if any of them are football fans. Teacher can pre-teach if
pupils do not understand the noun.
Post-lesson: Teacher shares the map of Malaysia with pupils and asks pupils to
list and describe 4 main cities in Malaysia.

2. Pupils copy the Have you ever….? Bingo grid from the board (Teacher
prepares the grid with 25 questions starting from Have you ever….? Ex: Have you
ever visited an island? Have you ever worn a yellow shirt? Have you ever eaten
a cake?)
3. Teacher explains that pupils must ask the questions to their friends and write
the friend’s name that says Yes, I have under the questions. If the friend says No, I
haven’t, then pupils must ask someone else the same question.
4. Teacher demonstrates the game with pupils.
5. Pupils conduct the game. Teacher facilitates and monitors. The winner will be
the first one to shout BINGO.
