LESSON 3: INDIVIDUAL SPORTS

What are the benefits that we can get in active participation in sports?

There are many benefits to enjoy when joining sports, including endurance,
coordination, and strength. Active participation in sports also allows improvement
in cardiovascular health. Meeting many people and making a lot of friends is also
possible by active participation in sports.

1. What are the positive and negative effects of sports on heath?

The positive effects are health improvement because participating in sports

burns many calories that enable you not to obtain heart diseases. Sports
maintain fitness and wellness that allows you to live longer and better.
Additionally, sports generate endorphins, which help lower your sense of pain.
Additionally, endorphins provide a pleasant sensation in the body, which aids in
living a happy life. However, sports also contribute downside on the health.
Suppose you suffer from respiratory and cardiovascular illnesses. In that case,
too much-playing sports can cause complications like running out of oxygen
and a heart attack because of the heart's workload.

2. Why is it important to play sports?

People need to play sports and games to stay healthy. They make us stronger,
keep us entertained, satisfy our competitive nature, and help us stay healthy
both physically and mentally. I would argue that without sport and competitive
games, there would be considerably fewer people on the planet; this is because
we would never be able to satisfy our desire for competitiveness without
resorting to war and perpetual warfare around the globe. When people play the
roles of a graceful winner and loser, they learn how to be humble. They also

learn about self-respect, confidence, and how to deal with stress through
competition. Sport is suitable for many things, including blood circulation and
overall physical strength. It also helps to make your body more flexible and
agile. Another benefit of playing sports is that they can help you improve your
brainpower.

Give your ideas and opinions on the benefits of sports in our health.

1. Improved cardiovascular health

- It makes muscles better at getting oxygen from the blood, which
means the heart doesn't have to pump as much blood to the
muscles. It cuts down on the brain chemicals that can strain the
heart. When you take it, it slows the heart rate and lowers blood
pressure.

2. Lowers risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

- Taking part in sports lowers the risk of heart disease by improving
glucose metabolism, reducing body fat, and lowering blood
pressure.

3. Helps manage weight

- Participating in sports boosts the number of calories your body
burns for energy. Physical exercise mixed with calorie restriction
leads to a "calorie deficit" that results in weight reduction.

4. Reduced blood pressure.

- Regular physical exercise strengthens the heart. With a stronger
heart, more blood can be pumped with less effort. As a
consequence, the stress exerted on your arteries is reduced,
resulting in a drop in blood pressure.

5. Stress relief.
- Sports assist you in coping with stress. Exercise stimulates the
release of endorphins, the brain chemicals that alleviate pain and
stress. Additionally, it decreases stress hormone levels such as
cortisol and adrenaline.
