In this activity, my students are going to use ABCya Story maker to create a book about

For example: In this activity, my students are going to use Edublogger to create a blog from the view of
Abraham Lincoln.
 Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What
will the students and the teacher be doing? (This includes
what they are doing with the technology). Many people tend
to find this part easier if they number the action in order and
think of this from the view of a substitute teacher. This lesson
was left on the desk, can you follow it and teach the class
today? Add numbers as you need to describe your
class/activity for the day.
Pedagogy
1. We will first watch a video on solids, liquids
and gases.
2. Teacher will bring in a few examples of each
matter type. For example, an apple for solid,
water for liquid, and a balloon filled with
helium for gas.
3. Show students each example, and see if they
can guess which one is solid, liquid and gas
after watching the video.
4. Next, we will come to the carpet for big group.
5. The teacher will construct 3 separate anchor
charts, with information provided by the
students. One for solid, liquid and gas.
6. Students will be involved in helping create the
chart. Ask them to give examples of solids,
liquids and gases, and then teacher
draws/writes them on the corresponding chart.
7. After examples are given, ask class what the
characteristics of these items are. (Solids such
as apples have a definite shape. Blankets,
which are a solid have a soft texture. A liquid
like water forms to its container. A gas such as
helium, fills up the whole balloon.
8. Students will then create their own books using
ABCya Story Maker, at home.
9. They will give their own examples of solids,
liquids and gases. They will be able to draw
their examples, as well as type them out in a
sentence.
10. They will also need to list the characteristics of
solids, liquids and gases in their books.
11. About a week will be provided to complete this
task.
12. Students will submit their book to our google
classroom assignment page.
