Study Plan

In my childhood I was fascinated by remote control toys like car and plane. In my school I got
chance to attend many science fair which was mostly on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
Different work and projects also done during my Undergraduate that made me more eager to
know further about Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Robotics has become a key issue in the
modern science. It’s my dream to be one of the pioneers of this sector and develop untouched
field in my country as well as to open a new door of opportunities for my future generation.

My name is S. M EMRAN. I completed my B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from

East West University-Bangladesh and I completed my Schooling and Higher Secondary
Education from renowned educational institutes of Bangladesh.

As robotics attracts me and it job market and application increasing day by day I was looking
for a well institution and country which will suit my qualification to admit and obtain a degree
on robotics as this course is not available in my home country. In terms of engineering Canada
provide excellent education. Moreover, degrees from Canadian institutes are recognized
globally and well valued by employers. Canadian culture is more diverse and vibrant. ST. Clair
College has well reputation in providing quality education. Considering the future value and my
interest I applied for the program diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technician-
Robotics and I got accepted by this institution.

In my under graduation there was huge courses but it fails to provide in-depth knowledge in
any particular area. During my academic carrier I had a strong wish to do practical work. But I
was not very fortune to do so. If I get a chance to do that I will take this as a valuable gift.
Besides this I will be able to apply this specialized knowledge in my carrier and it can bring a
bright future for me.

Today we are seeing the vast technological improvement throughout the world. Different
industries in Bangladesh using updated technology for production and maintaining. But the
application of robotics is very limited because the lack of knowledge. So by taking a renowned
foreign degree I can help my country and I can be pioneer of using robot in the industrial sector
of my country.

After graduation I wanted to get some hands-on experience. After working for 3 years as an Assistant
Engineer in Elevator Engineers Limited one of Bangladesh’s leading lift, elevator and escalator
company, I realized that in order to get in-depth knowledge of advanced Electrical, Electronic and
Computer Science I need to pursue a degree. Degree also requires changing my fortune because I am
going without promotion despite my hard work.

I really feel that if I can get a degree in a specialized area, it will be beneficial for me and it will
be more valuable for me to face future challenges. I want to hold a strong base so that I can go a
long way to fulfill my dream of being a competent engineer. I hope I can get a degree that will
enable me to find my place in the world of research or work; wherever I go. So now getting a
Canadian degree has become a dream to me.
