BASIC MUSICAL SIGNS AND SYMBOLS
 Staff consists of 5 lines and 4 spaces.

 Measure is a small segment of a piece of music that is divided by vertical lines.

 Bar Line is a vertical line that splits musical piece into measures.

 Double Bar Line ends a section of the music piece.

 Final Bar Line ends the music piece.


 Repeat Bar Lines indicate to repeat a section of music.

 G Clef indicates that the note on the second line of the staff is G.

 F Clef indicates that the note on the fourth line of the staff is F.

 Time Signature indicated at the beginning of a piece of music and consists of 2


numbers.

 Notes and Rests musical symbols on a staff that designate when to play and
when to not play.
