What is the key signature if there is one flat ? Where in the staff is
flat located?
4.4 Staff is composed of five parallel lines and four spaces and is enclosed
Abstraction by bar lines at each side. The staff is important because it is where all
other musical symbols are drawn. Familiarity with it will enable us to
read and write music.
One of the musical symbols drawn at the beginning of the staff is the
clef.
Its function is to indicate the specific position of the note and pitch of the
staff. It is an important guide for the performer on how to precisely read
or write notes on the staff. The most commonly known clef is the tremble
clef also known as the G clef. This symbol is drawn starting on the
second line of the staff above the middle C.
The second kind of clef is the bass clef, also known as the the F-clef. It
is drawn at the fourth line of the staff below the middle C.
Key signatures and the group of sharps and flats written at the beginning
of the staff.
Key of C Major-a key does not have any sharp or flat in the key
signatures.
Ask: How important are the different musical symbols in reading and
writing music?
Using the so-fa syllables, write, read and sing the corresponding notes
of the following key signatures
Group 1- Key of C Major
Group 2- Key of G Major
