National Reading Month

Relative to DepEd Memorandum No. 173, s. 2019, titled “Hamon: Bawat Bata
Bumabasa (3Bs Initiatives)”, which emphasizes the mandate to produce productive and
responsible citizens equipped with essential skills for lifelong learning. This learning action
cell aims to make every learner a proficient reader.

To attain this goal, DepEd shall strengthen the “Every Child A Reader Program”
(CARP) through this activity with the following aims.

1. Capacitate teachers to become effective reading teachers.

2. Equip learners with reading skills to make them proficient and independent
readers in their grade level; and
3. Nurture a culture of reading within the school.

Date and Time: Every Friday of November 2022

A.M Session – Kinder, Grades 1-3 Teachers

P.M. Session – Kinder, Grades 4-6 Teachers
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
