Optimal printing and paper storage conditions

__ b) Advise customer about the importance of keeping paper sealed in the original packaging or in
a storage area with the proper humidity and temperature conditions.
A low humidity environment will affect paper and impact copy quality.

__ 2. Note the type of media that the customer is using (Coated, Silk, Gloss, Cover, GSM/Lb).

__ 3. Check that the machine is properly set for the proper paper (weight, coated/uncoated, auto 2 sided).

__ 4. Find the matching or closest media type in the media kit that the customer is having an issue
with.

__ 5. Add 4 sheets of the media taken from the zip-lock bag into the paper tray. (You may mark
those with an X)

__ 6. If necessary, set the proper paper tray weight and make more than 4 copies from that
particular tray.

__ 7. Compare the copy quality of the first 4 sheets with the others from customer stock.

__ 8. If humidity and temperature are within range and the identical copy quality problem
exists on both the Xerox and customers media, proceed to Initial Actions and IQ entry RAP

__ 9. If the comparable Xerox media corrected the image quality:
