Every child requires literacy skills to open up life choices and

opportunities but this has been one of the greatest challenges during and

after pandemic times. Teachers’ reading strategies and techniques became

limited in distance learning since students were not in school. Thus, now

that we are already embracing the new normal, teachers’ skills in reading

instructions should be refreshed and enhanced not only to bridge learning

gaps but to continue our goal toward quality education, and this seminar-

workshop, ADAPTING READING INSTRUCTION TO THE NEW NORMAL among

reading teachers is of great help.

As a primary and reading teacher, I found this seminar very useful. I

was able to reflect on the different reading strategies I am using and I feel

thrilled with the new strategies I’ve learned. All the speakers were also

amazing! What they’ve shared with the participants are superb and

indelible. From all the experiences I had in teaching reading, the speakers’

insights and shared thoughts made me more motivated and eager to create

a hundred percent readers in my class.
