STRESS SIGNALS

1. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE STRESSED?

 I know I am stress when I experienced those stress signals I’ve marked. Like when things
don’t go the way it was planned and feels like everything is messed up, I just cried and
do things like I’ve gone mad. My mind goes like, “ah I’m stressed”.

2. HOW MUCH STRESS DO YOU THINK YOU ARE CURRENTLY UNDER?

 I think I’m currently under heavy stress due to the school works, the research title
defense, those sleepless nights from duty because I had to help and also earn money,
my grandmother stopping me from applying to UP thinking that it might turn me to an
activist, and also, the plan to advance study for the course I still don’t know if I want, but
I need to take.

3. HOW ARE YOUR STRESS SIGNALS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF STRESSORS?
 My stress signals depend on the type of stressor that affects me. The stressors cause the
release of stress hormones that triggers the stress signals. Like when there’s a lot of
home works given by our teachers, that causes stress plus the fact that I don’t know
how to manage my time. When that happens, I just cry and get headaches. I also got out
of focus and just overthink.

4. WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU USUALLY REMOVE OR REDUCE THE STRESS THAT
CAUSE YOU PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL OR BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES?
 When I’m stressed, I usually listen to music with relaxing tunes because it really
comforts me and meditates. I also watch some videos from my idols or check my social
media and be drawn into something that made me forget stress afterwards. Also,
sometimes, I just space out, think about the things that caused me stressed and pray, I
confessed everything to God, cry then feels light after all those heavy things.
