JOB DESCRIPTION OF A CAR SALESMAN

BASIC DETAILS

- Title: Car’s salesman

- Grade: T2

- Numbers doing job: 3

- Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

PURPOSE

- To be able to sell the products of the company (cars) to the target

customers.

TASKS

Key areas/ Main tasks:

- Understanding service contract

- Assisting the customers in the type of cars they are interested in.
- Participating in test drives with interested customers

- Making the customers buyers by matching them with the right cars.

- Arranging payments with the customers.

- Understanding the automobiles by studying their characteristics and


features

Secondary tasks:

- supporting the marketing department

- Taking care of the warranty.

- Coordinate with the Sales Manager during the transaction process.

- Schedule car deliveries and maintenance checks

Occasional task:

- Being part of car exhibitions taking place

- Being active in promoting the brand of the company.

- Assisting with the set up of showroom and promotional displays.

Hours of work:

- 48 hours a week. Optional overtime will be available.

STANDARDS
-Being able to sell at least 5-10 cars in a week.

- Working at least for 48 hours a week.

- Meeting the expectations of the customers and satisfying their wants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organisation Structure:

- Divisional organisational structure.

Managers or supervisors:

- Should report to the sales manager.

Subordinates:

- None

Responsibilities of the Job

- Should attend all the sales meetings.

- Identify the wants of customers through interviews.

- Taking interested customers on test drives and demonstrating the

features of the vehicle.


- Communicating to the customers in a respectable manner and

maintaining a positive relationship with the customers.

PHYSICAL OR SOCIAL ENVIRONMEMT

- Required to be present onsite.

- Expected to work with many professionals, like finance manager, sales

manager to help satisfy the customers.

TRAINING/EDUCATION

- Onsite training programmes along with external training programmes

designed to develop the skills and knowledge of salesperson

- Training covers both management and non-management roles.
