USES & CHARACTERISTICS OF ASSESSMENTS
The teacher provides us assessments that are
valid and reliable. It measures the intended
purpose of the assessment and it also gives data
or information that is accurate.
The teacher provides us assessments that contain
multiple sources of information to develop a
comprehensive understanding of our strengths
and needs.
The teacher provides us decisions that inform
instructions and specific feedbacks in order to
know our existing knowledge as well as our
desired learning outcome.
The teacher provides us reflective assessments in
order to know how close we are in meeting the
learning objectives and also to know our insights
about the lesson.

IMPACT OF ASSESSMENT TO STUDENTS
We are able to share our insights about our new
lesson, because there are instances that the
teacher asks us if we knew something about the
lesson or if we are familiar with it. There are also
instances that they provide us with pre-test to
measure how far or broad our knowledge about
that lesson.
We are able to exercise our mind in
understanding multiple sources of information
through having various activities. These activities
includes individual or by group presentations,
writing reflective essays, participating in different
games, and taking quizzes or tests. By it, we are
able to minimize our learning.
We are able to comprehend what should be done
because there is a clear instruction that our
teacher gave to us. Also giving us feedback
whenever we ask questions or we want to know
our grades in a specific activity is essential for us
to be more motivated in accomplishing the
learning objectives.
We are able to give information about what we
have learned in a specific topic. Our teacher
could tell us to raise our hand and share it in
front of the class or it may also be done by telling
us to do reflection papers. In this way, we are
giving our teacher, a feedback that would let her
know if she needs to teach again the lesson or
proceed to a new one.
The teacher provides us assessments that are
fast, balanced and is grounded in the art of
teaching and learning in order to facilitate our
progress in learning.
We are able to enhance our learning because of
the different types of assessment that our
teachers implement throughout the class. It
could be in the beginning of the class where the
teacher will give us motivational activities, it
could also be in the discussion where our teacher
asks us questions, and it also be in the end where
quizzes, tests, or exams would be given.
