Circuit

A combinational circuit generally consist of

several input signals, several output signals and
an interaction of gates.
Sequential Circuits

Memory

 Insequential circuits, the present value of

output is dependent not only on the
present value of inputs but also on the
past history of the system
 Sequential
circuits are built out of memory
element and combinational logic
devices.

 Thereforethese circuits produce different

outputs for the same set of inputs
depending on what is stored in memory
Synchronous Sequential Logic
Circuit
 Variousblocks of the logic circuit are
triggered by the same clock signal ,
called master signal. Therefore the output
of these blocks (devices) change at the
same time
Asynchronous Sequential
Logic Circuit
 In this type of logic circuits, different parts
of the circuit are triggered by different
signals. Therefore the outputs of different
blocks of the circuit can change at
different instances
