PROCEDURE

1 The distance of beam from support to support, the distance of point load and the
distance of cut section also the dimensions of the arch measure by using a ruler.

2 A point load chosen and the location of the point measure and record. A load
hanger were placed at the point.

3 Switch on the digital thrust indicator and tared to make sure the reading was set to
zero.

4 5 N load applied on the load hanger on point one and point two. The value that
appear on the digital thrust indicator were recorded.

5 Step 4 is repeated with different value of load applied such as 10 N, 15N, 20N
and 25N.

6 Collect and tabulate data from the experiment.
