Gift Wrapping

Wrapping plain boxes is an art which can be

achieved through careful choice of paper and
ribbon. You should treat every gift wrap an
artist treats a canvas. Gift wrapping is an art of
packing, wrapping and decorating an item or
article to be given as a gift. Make sure you
have enough wrapping paper. Tape sheets
together with a glue stick or scotch tape.

“Can you still wrap a gift without gift

wrapping paper, or can you use something
else?" “We can used newspaper, ma’am”
(Varied answer)
“That right, you can still use other things”
Gift wrapping is not necessarily confined to
paper. You can use other materials like printed
or plain colored cardboard boxes, painted
wooden boxes, our native Philippine materials
like sinamay, raffia, abaca, native bags or buri
and many more.

“What materials do we require based on

what we watched a while ago?” (Varied answer)

“That is correct, the materials required are

gift boxes or containers in which to place the
small present.”

“Of course, there is the wrapping paper,

which comes in a variety of designs. What (Varied answer)
design do you usually saw in store?”

“That interesting, what are the other

materials that we need? Anyone? “Ribbon and Bow, ma’am”

“What do you think is the used of Ribbon and

Bow?” “These is used to decorate and knot to secure
the gift”
“How about the decorative items, like flower,
paper, lace, twine and other things”
“These are artistic and creative materials
attached to a gift.”
“And tags and labels are a type of card where
you can write a special message or label the
gift items.”

“How about tools that we need?” (Varied answer)

“And now to present a good-looking gift it is

very important to remember the art and
design because this will show your creativity.
It is very important to learn the principles and
elements of design to attain the artistic and
creative design on gift wrapping.”
