    ACTIVITY 2

    ➢ AIM OR OBJECTIVE: To assemble the components of a given electrical circuit.


    ➢ APPARATUS: A voltmeter and an ammeter of appropriate range, a battery
    eliminator, a rheostat and one way key.
    ➢ MATERIAL: An unknown resistance or resistance coil, connecting wires and a
    piece of Sandpaper.

    ➢ PROCEDURE:

    • The components (Resistors, inductors etc.) are connected in series with each
    other as shown in figure and then in series with the battery eliminator
    • The voltmeter is connected in parallel to the resistor, to measure the potential
    difference across it.
    • The switch is connected in series with the battery eliminator.
    • Now the assembly of electrical components in the electric circuit is complete.

    ➢ UTILITY: It is used for measuring unknown resistance.
