Enactive Level?
In presenting the topic Laws of Exponents in an enactive level, teachers should demonstrate how to
solve a problem that uses the laws of exponents and show the students the rules and laws of exponents.
Then, the teacher should encourage the students to use the rules and laws of exponents and practice
solving and motivate them to put in mind these rules and laws to solve faster.
Iconic Level?
In presenting the topic in an iconic level, the teacher should present a picture or a slide presentation
showing the laws of exponents and how to solve them correctly, and present as well examples about the
topic for learners to further understand.
Symbolic Level?
In presenting the topic on the symbolic level, the teacher should only discuss the laws of exponents
shown using variables and mathematical symbols.
How will you apply the spiral curriculum approach in this topic?
In applying the spiral curriculum approach in the topic Laws of Exponents, the teacher should revisit or
reexamine the solving skills of the learners and see if they can incorporate the rules and laws of
exponents. After revisiting the curriculum, laws of exponents will be revisited again in a manner
appropriate to the grade level of learners. This helps them master the lesson/topic.
Describe how you can use discovery learning for this topic.
The teacher can use discovery learning for this topic through: having learners determine the laws of
exponents used to solve the problem. Through this, they would be able to determine what law of
exponents as well as rules they must use or follow to come up with the right answer. Through giving an
activity as well about the topic. The learners will discover ways on how to solve problem using the laws
easier. The teacher can also let the students search/surf the internet about the topic to discover more of
the topic and see more examples to have a meaningful learning process.
