SOP-Traffic Light System

PURPOSE:

✓ To maintain the quality of the product at in line process of the product.

SCOPE:

✓ In Line sewing process.

PROCEDURE:

 If no defects in first time check then it will be “Green Card”.


 If 01 defect found in first time check then it will be “Yellow Card”
 If 02 or more defects found in first time then it will be “RED Card” &
stop the process until solve the problem (need to related expert or
concern person).

➢ FIRST PRIORITY TO FOLLOW UP RED AREA (Red


Routine):
• If some process 2nd time not found any problem then it will be
“Yellow”.
• If some process 3rd time not found any problem then it will be
“Green”.
➢ SECOND PRIORITY TO FOLLOW UP YELLOW AREA
(Yellow Routine):
• If some process 2nd time not found any problem then it will be
“Green”.
• If problem found first priority as (Red Routine)

A. If some process 2nd time not found any problem then it will be “Yellow”.

B. If some process 3rd time not found any problem then it will be “Green”.

Note:
The traffic signal system is based on three lights red, amber (yellow) and
green. The lights are used to symbolize the quality status at the operation
and make supervisor aware of where problems are occurring and give the in-
line controllers an idea where they have to spend more time.
1. 1. Green => Good, 2. Amber=> Isolated defects found, 3. Red =>
Recurring defects or Major defects found.
In line QC has to check a minimum of 07 pieces each visit to the work station.
The In-line controller will monitor the inspection and record it. The traffic lights
must work in sequence unless the frequency of defects it too high.
