NARRATIVE REPORT

BAGONG SILANG, BARANGAY STA VERONICA, GUIMBA, NUEVA ECIJA

The ancestors claimed that cousins from Ilocos Sur who came because they had heard
that Nueva Ecija was a vast, flat, and well-planted with rice province were the first to settle
here. They discovered Guimba Town while looking for a spot to reside. When they came, the
cousins welcomed their relatives from the other city, demonstrating that this location is very
wonderful. And by this, they discovered the other barangays also

Other locals asserted that Bagong Silang was formerly known as “Islang Puting Bato”
because a cemetery with white graves is close to this area. However, as time passes, they
change it to Bagong Silang since the population of this area is expanding. Bagong Silang
became well-known because it frequently floods after light rain. And due of its peacefulness
a lot of families chose to make this place their home. To live there up until now, many
families have been moving into this barangay.

The Trojilla family Is responsible for making Bagong Silang a well-known and
organized location in town. These family also give works to people in Bagong Silang, one of
these works is being a ice cream vendor. Bagong Silang currently consists of a public
cemetery and a close-by elementary school. Additionally, there are areas here and an
enchanting river that are ideal for picnic dates.

This origin assists locals in learning about their barangay’s history and educates them
as well. The childrens gain from it as well because they are learning about their environment.
