5 Stor y Types you Should

C R E AT E S U CC E S S W I T H I N STAG R A M STO R I E S with A L E X B E A D O N

In this lesson we’ll be diving into 5 types of Instagram Stories that will help you

increase your engagement and better war m your leads so that you can conver t

more follower s into customer s when you come to launch your offer s.

Type 1: K N O W, L I K E & T R U S T S TO R I E S

People buy from people that they know, like and tr ust, so as content creator s, we

need to make sure that the content we’re shar ing helps us to increase this know,

like and tr ust factor.

A great way to get clear on how you’re going to do this is to make a list of 20

things that you want people to know about you.

When you’re going about anything in your business, whether it’s having conver sa-

tions with potential customer s or showing up on Instagr am Stor ies, you can then

natur ally slip these consistent messages in.

By sticking to these consistent messages, your follower s will star t to feel that they

know you like a fr iend!

Your audience should get excited every single time you post to your Stories!

The best way of creating this excitement is by giving them something that gives

them value or makes their day.

You can add value by being educational, inspir ational, motivational, enter taining -

simply ask your self what you’re br inging to your follower s’ day by showing up on

this par ticular Stor y.

Start by getting clear on what your 6 pillars of content are - what type of con-

tent and value-adds can you consistently focus on that will br ing value to your

ideal clients?

Once you’ve listed your content pillar s, ask yourself what your ideal client would

be really excited to learn about.

4 Ways you Can Use the

C R E AT E S U CC E S S W I T H I N STAG R A M STO R I E S with A L E X B E A D O N

In this lesson we’re going to go through some of the best engagement sticker
features and how you can use them strategically for your business. There are
many sticker s you can add to your Instagr am Stor ies, but these 4 are the best
ones for increasing engagement:

# 1 Question Sticker:
This is a fantastic way to get your audience to engage with you, get to know
them better and ser ve them better.

 This is a great way to encour age your audience to ask you anything! Once
you star t to get replies, you can tap on the reply, share it to your Stor ies and
answer the questions in your Stor ies either through video or by using text.

 You can also use the Question sticker when you go Live on Instagr am! At the

ver y bottom r ight hand cor ner of the live screen, you will see a questions
icon that will give you the ability to br ing up any of the questions that peo-
ple have asked you throughout the day. Viewer s can also see which question
you’re answer ing in that moment.

# 2 Polls Sticker:
This is another great way of getting to know your audience and encour age them
to engage with you in a really fun way. Here are a few tips for creating polls that
your viewers will actually answer:

 Keep it simple! Most people make their polls too per sonal or difficult to
answer. The best polls are the ones that ask your viewer s a really simple
question that anyone could answer!

 Put your positive answer on the left hand side. Your viewer s move through
Stor ies by tapping on the r ight hand of the screen. By putting your negative
answer on the left side of your poll, you reduce the chance that they might
tap it by mistake .

 Try only having positive answers: If it makes sense for the question you’re
asking, tr y just having 2 positive answer s that will encour age your viewer s
to engage r ather than make a choice (e .g. Yes // Tell me more!).

 Use them in a way that will prompt conversations that you can then
follow up with in the Direct Messages. Use the polls to ask your follower s
about the str uggles that you solve through your products and ser vices then
engage with the people who reply inside the DMs. This will help you star t a
sales conver sation without you having to reach out to cold leads.

# 3 Countdown Sticker:
There are so many amazing ways that you can use this sticker s feature! Here are
2 ideas to get you started:

 Use this sticker to countdown to major events in your business way in

advance! By star ting this countdown 2 weeks, a month or even 6 months
ahead of time (e.g. a new launch), you can star t to plant the seed in your
follower s’ minds and get people excited and build that anticipation. Once
you post your countdown sticker, make sure you add an arrow and tell people
to tap it to get a reminder when the event, promotion or sale goes live!

 You can also use the countdown sticker to promote upcoming content -
If you have a big piece of content coming up that you know will do really
well, use the countdown sticker to get people excited and to push people
to engage with your content!

# 4 Quiz Sticker:
This is another great way of getting your audience to engage with you or an-
swer your questions! There are endless ways of using this sticker - you can quiz
people on how well they know you, how well they know your product or in fun
ways that your ideal client would love to engage with!

 When using this sticker feature , make sure you choose the cor rect answer
so that people who engage will be notified if they have chosen the r ight
answer.
