Palabok is one of the native culinary delicacies of the Philippines that Filipino loves to eat, but

only restaurants or fast-food chain here in Ormoc serves Palabok and somehow it is quite pricey. This

gives the company a new idea of why not serve Palabok in an accessible place like Ormoc City Plaza and

serves this at affordable price. YUMPY Palabok is a new business that will be located in Ormoc City

plaza to target a huge market population. The business name YUMPY is derived from the business

motto,“Yummy that will surely make you happy”.

The proposed business will need a wooden laminated structure food kiosk with a size of 7x8m

that is accessible to 3 to 4 staff. The YUMPY palabok food kisk will have a freezer space for on-site

frozen product. The operating room will consist of a stove and cooking utensils, a counter, and a serving

area. Each staff member are skilled and professional in this firm in order to create a friendly service and

interaction to the customers. Eco-friendly materials will be used in serving Palabok to promote eco-

friendly and clean environment. The business will serve Palabok in three different sizes; small, medium,

and large. The business will offer Palabok in a winnowing basket, or also known as Palabok bilao and

the business will also offer tasty fruit refreshments. The business will offer a mouthwatering serving of

Palabok that consists of a flavorful taste and healthy ingredients. The business target customers is

everyone at any gender and age, specially people walking along Ormoc City plaza. The business will also

be posted through social media platforms to receive feedback and delivery orders for customers nearby

Ormoc City Plaza. The company also wants to address customers to feel the joy in every bite of YUMPY

Palabok.

Location

The proposed business location for the YUMPY Palabok Food Kiosk will be in Ormoc City

Plaza, in front of the beautiful people’s food park. The area is quietly suitable for this kind of business

because it is near a church, school, and other firms which makes it accessible to our target consumers.

The location of YUMPY palabok will be visible to the potential customers since it is the only palabok

snack in the Ormoc City Plaza. Most of the people walks by the area, specially around 5-6 PM wherein

workers and students tends to stop in the plaza and looking for a snack to eat.The business will operate

from Monday through Sunday, 3 p.m until 10 p.m. The Company choose to put the business in front of
food park because the area is known for many food stalls and food cart businesses and it will be easier

for the Company to establish the business because people are already familiar.

location is suited to be set up because around the area there are no potential competitors for the products

the firm provides.

Marketing Strategy

The business will be introduced to the market by posting in social media to easily engage and

interact with customers, the business will reach the target market by using online platforms. Important

details and information about the business will be posted in YUMPY palabok Social media accounts and

will be shared to the Ormoc City online marketplace. Customers and interested online citizen nearby

Ormoc City Plaza can send a direct message to the social media and the admin will respond

immediately, the social media accounts will be online from 6 AM to 10PM. The business will also be

active in some local activities where it can aid to promote the business.

Transglobal Food, one of the supplier of Palabok noodles that is located in manila. YUMPY palabok

will also have shrimp sauce and topped with several ingredients such as cooked shrimp, boiled pork,

crushed chicharon, boiled egg, tinapa flakes, fried tofu, scallions, and fried garlic.

Product Preparations, Processes and Services

The process of preparing Palabok should be practice very well and perfected to have a meal with

a high standard and quality that will suit to the customers. Cooking staffs will be train proficiently and

make sure that they are knowledgeable on how the process of production goes, as well as the usage of

cooking utensils, exact measurement of ingredients, and proper use of equipment. The business will

assure that there are enough raw materials to avoid shortage and problems in production.

YUMPY Palabok food kiosk will operate in a small area with organized and well-function

management. The staff are skilled in order to professionally do the work in serving customers with a

high quality Palabok. Cooking area will be place at the back of the kiosk to avoid further accidents and
