REFLECTION:

Evaluating through the different output of my co-teachers, I found out that


they need technical assistance to adopt to the new normal and as to what the new
strategies in teaching should use in this kind of teaching modalities. We must be well
equipped and must have technical know-how with regards to the LDM platforms to
ensure quality learning outcomes and make necessary adjustment.
We must have the sufficient background knowledge about the Deped
order, the Learning Action Cell on the k-12 Basic Education Program School-Based
Continuing professional Development strategy for the improvement of the teaching
and learning.
As Head Teacher/LAC Leader, we need to embrace first the reality brought
about by the pandemic. We need to adopt with the present situation and equipped
ourselves with the knowledge and skills through continuous reading and participation
with the different webinars.
On the other hand, teachers must also equipped with the new teaching
modalities, let us help them bridging the competencies to the MELC and guiding them
And by giving them technical assistance and continuous LAC Session. As Head
Teacher/LAC Leader. We should monitor and guide our co-teachers to ensure that
quality instruction should be delivered among our learners.

MODULE 3A: Designing Instruction in List of Targeted Learning Intervention +
The Different Learning Modalities Learning Task for DL+ Assessment

REFLECTION:

All the identified list of targeted interventions for learners is very


important for teachers to identify the needs of every learners and what intervention
strategy is suited to each kind of learners. These targeted interventions will serve as a
guide and bases for teachers to what kind of intervention program is applicable to
each kind of learners.
As Head Teacher/LAC Leader, it is very important to guide and assist our
co-teachers in giving appropriate interventions suited for the learners.
Distance Learning is challenge itself since all are new in this kind of
modality. It is very challenging that to build an environment without being seeing the
learners in face-to-face. We are just using the module to almost of the learners and
the big challenge is how to give them the kind of education they deserve. Poor
internet and lack of ICT skills of teachers are another challenges in distance learning.
Another one is the delivery of modules especially in the remote areas. Parent and the
learners are also a factor to considered.
To fill the gap, in order to assist the education helper or the parent, in the
teaching learning process, we implemented an open communication to FB chat,
Messenger and SMS. The difference in assessing pupils in between traditional and
distance learning is the way the assessment is implemented. To bridge this gap
teachers must use different techniques and strategies along different assessment.

MODULE 3A: Designing Instruction in Weekly Home Learning Plan
The Different Learning Modalities
REFLECTION:

Weekly Home Learning Plan plays an important role for teachers and parents.
The Weekly Home Learning Plan shall aid teachers and parents in keeping track of the
day-to-day and off-school and feasible alternative Learning process as they implement
the most suitable and feasible alternative learning modality based on the context of their
school. The Weekly Home Learning Plan shall prepared by the teachers implementing
Distance and Blended Learning while the DLP or DLL which is prescribed by DepEd Order
No. 42 s. 2016, otherwise known as Policy Guidelines On the Implementation of the Daily
Lesson Preparation for K-12 basic Education Program shall be prepared by teachers
implementing face-to-face learning.
The essential parts of the WHLP are: the Learning Task where formative
learning opportunities are created for learners to enhanced their understanding of the
content, which prompt them to engage intensively in the subject matter: and the learning
competencies – compose of the knowledge, understanding and skills and attitude that
learners need to demonstrate in every lesson. We need to look for these parts to see to it
that they aligned to one another.

MODULE 3A: Designing Instruction in Individual Learning Monitoring Plan
The Different Learning Modalities
REFLECTION:

The Individual Learning Monitoring Plan, on the other hand is a more specific tool
which shall be used by teachers and learning facilitators for learners who lag behind as shown by
the result of their formative and summative assessment.
For learners who are given intervention activities, their weekly home learning plan
shall be adjusted to suit their comprehension level.
In case learners are lagging behind. As Head Teacher/LAC Leader we should provide
technical assistance to our co-teachers to deal with this kind of concerns, in order to give
appropriate intervention program to each unique kind of learners. The right intervention
materials must be assessed if it is in line with the MELC’s and addresses the learning need of the
learner.
Communication with the learning facilitators is highly encouraged to monitor the
progress of the child. It will be done by the concern adviser.
As School Head/LAC Leader, we should provide continuous monitoring and feed
backing in order to see the progress of the learners. We need to scheduled a LAC session if
needed.

REFLECTION:

As Head Teacher/LAC Leader, we should explore the Technology-Related


Professional Development for Teachers to help them design instructional materials and activities
using the wealth of resources available in the internet. We should adopt varying pedagogical
design capacity, teachers should be supported through curriculum adaptation,
instructional activities supported online resources to fit learner’s needs and interests, and
how to incorporate instructional games, simulation and interactive resources to enhance
motivation and provide self-paced instructions specifically with the aid of the different
online platforms of the department such as DepEd Commons and LR Portals.

MODULE 4: PD and LAC Planning Finalized LDM Individual Development Plan
REFLECTION:

There are a lot of research to support the notion that Teachers Play the Critical
Role, in improving the Learners achievement in school. What teachers do in the classroom is
crucial. In order to maximize teacher competency in four critical categories: instructional delivery,
classroom management, formative assessment and personal competencies, we should
recommend these competencies as the core for teacher preparation and for teacher
development.
To further assist/guide the development of competencies of the teachers in my
team, as a Head Teacher/LAC Leader, we need to develop in them professional practice. Allow
them to reflect on their teaching practice and guide them to assess their own teaching. Help them
establish goals for professional goals for professional relationships and work with them to
improve professional and instructional practice.
