INTRODUCTION

PROJEC T BUSOG is one of the best way on how we can improve learning especially to the Barrio

schools. Why? Simply, utilizing school gardening for supplementary feeding program can be a tool in

aiding the major reasons why a child drops out of school-poverty, hunger, malnutrition

Aside from implementing school garden for the purpose of feeding programs is inculcating among our

learners the values of good health and nutrition, industry, love of labor and caring for others.

Furthermore, this will teach them how to improve their nutritional status. Learning where foods

comes from and how planting promotes beautification of their surroundings. It also serves as a good

simulating activity in which they will learn leadership and rendering good service. As a matter of fact,

planting as one of the livelihood skills that learner will acquire in school can be applied and replicated

in their respected households.


II. PROJECT RATIONALE

Gulayan sa Paaralan as we all know, most of the learners in any places of our country belong to poor
families and have

greater possibility of dropping out in their basic education just because of hunger and malnutrition in

school and besides, by helping their parents to earn a living. Furthermore, the health and nutrition of

these learners are crucial factor affecting their academic performance. Hence, our government must

do something in order to address this immortal educational issue once and for all

For this reason, let us educate the learner the methods of sustainable production of food such as

vegetable production and consumption which are applicable to their homes and important for

household security. Furthermore, this will also teach with the following:

* improving nutritional status

* learning where food comes from

* promoting beautification

* producing food

* stimulating creativity

* encouraging leadership & service

* changing family home food habits

As a matter of fact, these livelihood skills that learners will acquaire from the school can also be

applied and replicated in their household. Thus, by marking foods more accessible to all schools that

will certainly improve the health and nutritional status of the learners through this sustainable School

feeding program.
III. PROJECT SUMMARY
Projects Busog launched to provide healthy meals to the malnourished kids and
to ensure that they do not go to school with empty stomachs. The program target
at least 26 participants

IV. CONCLUSION

PROJECT BUSOG shall be implemented in every school regardless of ample or limited area.

Let us be work to improve and increase vegetable production in school by teaching the learners the

method of sustainable production of food which are applicable to their homes and important in

honing their skills in agriculture. Let us utilize school gardening in improving the education of the

young ones through supplementary feeding programs and garden sale to fund necessary activities. Let

our school be the model of cleanliness and greenness in our country.

V. RECOMMENDATION
1. Should there be one to conduct the advocacy

2. Orientation and distribution of materials,

3. Monitoring and evaluation.

4. There should be a seminar workshop by region that will be conducted prior to the distribution

of gardening tools and vegetable seedling to ensure that everything is in accordance with the

scope and objective of the program. Above all for effective implementation
