REFLECTION

Teachers truly benefit from doing research. Not only it improves his/her awareness, but
also be able to come up with effective solutions or any type of output. With the variety of
available research designs, there will certainly be one that fits well with a current situation or
problem that will provide valuable information.

Research on child and adolescent development is very interesting. It develops the

teacher’s skill in terms of observation and decision-making both in and outside of a school
setting. Having to gather variety of information on a certain subject will most certainly
contribute to creating a positive classroom environment that will support the behavioral and
emotional regulation of the learners that will lead to positive outcome.

I do hope to conduct a research of my own in the future. I hope to improve my skills both
to improve my own person and myself as a professional. Being able to contribute to crating a
positive culture in school would be such an achievement. The thought of doing a research is
honestly, for me, sounds quite difficult. It requires money, time and effort. I’ve heard complains
from both students and teachers of how tasking it is to complete one. Problems will occur
eventually, but I would like something to be proud of. It doesn’t have to be grand. At least it
would provide meaningful and valuable result. I’m aware that teaching is a continuous learning.
To create an impact requires great amount of effort.
