 Teacher makes a review of the last

the students.

5min  Teacher presents a Power point with


the grammar of the unit to clarify
certain points.

STAGE 2
2min  Teacher show a picture of the Nazca
lines, and ask the students a question
about it.

 Teacher plays the recording to hear
the story in the reading section on
pag 68

 Teacher explains the meaning of the
words in blue that appear in the text.

 Teacher asks students to read the
article one more time, and then
discuss in pairs:” what are the Nazca
5min lines?”
 Students do the next activity related
to the reading, then compare in pairs.

 Students work in pairs and discuss
the question “why do you think the
Nazca people created the shapes?”

STAGE 3

 Teacher asks students:”Have you
ever seen something strange that you
couldn’t explain, and elicit answer
8 min from ss.
 Teacher reads the article of the
5min writing section on pag 112, and
explains the meaning of some words.

 Teacher explains that they will write a


15 min letter to the newspaper about the
event described in the article.

5min  Teacher gives the students some


time to do their writings.

 Students compare their writings in


5min pairs, and decide which explanation
is more convincing.

 Teacher asks some students to share


their writings to the class.
