Some people say that teenagers should work part-time and

earn money. This way they will learn basic lessons about work
and become more disciplined. Others argue that teenagers
shouldn't sacrifice their rest and after-school activities to work.
Discuss both views and give your opinions.
Opinions are mixed as to whether adolescents should allocate
their time to seek part-time jobs and accumulate valuable
knowledge about work or not. While many people oppose the
aforementioned notion and argue that the young should not
waste their time for work but relax and partake in other
activities, I side with those who believe that teenagers ought to
be involved in part-time employment to acquire professional
knowledge.

On the one hand, there are a plethora of reasons why
protestors contend that juveniles should enjoy their
adolescence and not sacrifice their precious spare time to work.
Firstly, the school curriculum these days consists of a colossal
amount of theoretical knowledge and assignments, which
means that immersing oneself in a dual role can render that
student stressed. This can be attributed to the reason that
students who work part-time have to deal with a gigantic load
of work as well as homework, lack rest, and are more liable to
be prone to deep anxiety than those who spend their me-time
joining in recreational activities after school. Additionally,
allocating time for extracurricular activities enables adolescents
to discover their hidden talents. In lieu of opting to work, one
might, for example, apply for a club or try playing a musical
instrument and find out that he excels in the fields of music.
However, I opine that the young should work as a part-time
employee as it can be advantageous to them. One of the
prominent merits of working at an early age is that one can
amass priceless information and know-how which could be
utilized for his future career. In such a fast-paced society where
countless employees crave a lucrative income and are equipped
with homogenous bookish knowledge about the job, there is
little room for doubt that recruiters will set high requirements
for workers’ experience and mastery. Consequently, those who
have already worked for the position before are more likely to
excel in that profession and be offered the job. Another
advantage is that youngsters could acquire practical skills. To
exemplify, being a waiter can enhance one’s problem-solving
skills as well as interpersonal communication skills upon facing
picky customers. Were such skills sharpened at a young age,
youngsters could utilize them for achieving a successful career
afterwards.
In brief, notwithstanding several people being advocates for the
belief that juveniles should not allocate time for part-time jobs
with a view to averting depression and stress, I still concede
that participating in such work is conducive to a better
equipment of expertise and skills which are essential for their
future career.
