Some people think that work is the most important thing of people’s life.

Without the success of career,

life becomes meaningless. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Whether career is the most pivotal thing of a person’s life or not has been a subject of contention. While I
concur with the aforementioned notion to some extent, I contend that there are other factors that are
influential in making one’s life meaningful.
On the one hand, there are a plethora of reasons advocating that work is of paramount importance to a
person. First of all, work brings about a stable financial background for one. It is an indubitable fact that
people these days have to make ends meet as well as purchase numerous necessities such as food or
clothes. Should one’s income not satisfy such basic requirements, he will not adapt himself to the fast-paced
society and bankruptcy will be inevitable. Additionally, a prosperous career is the foundation stone of a
happy life. Success and achievements that one obtains in his work will unarguably provide him with job
satisfaction and most importantly, raise his social status. To exemplify, Albert Einstein, who has devoted his
life to the physical domain, is considered as one of the greatest and most distinguished physicists of all time.
On the other hand, I opine that work is not the sole decisive factor leading to a fulfilling life. One of the most
vital elements besides work is health. In fact, those with an excellent status of health are liable to get a
prolonged lifespan and allocate their time for myriad outdoor and recreational activities, which will
undoubtedly help them to find joy in life. If an individual is affluent yet is prone to a fatal disease, there will
be no meaning in his life. Furthermore, a colossal amount of people these days opt to be passionate about
voluntary activities, which might create an innovative novel concept about a prosperous life. Such people
immerse themselves in assisting those who have a deprived background, donating food, accommodation,
and the like to the needy, and enhance their perceptions of a meaningful life by volunteering spontaneously.

In the light of the above-mentioned factors, one can conclude that a successful career is instrumental in
contributing to making one’s life meaningful; however, other components such as health, volunteering, and
altering one’s mindset are also indispensable. I believe that a combination of all these factors will create a
truly fulfilling life.
