The main problems that I might encounter are the following:

Problems with flights and transport in Zimbabwe

Problems with equipment and getting equipment out to Zimbabwe
Problems with not being able to reshoot in Zimbabwe
Problems with audio
Problems with organisation
Problems with visas
Problems permission
Problems with language barriers
Problems with gender
Problems with climate

Solutions:

Flight and transport issues aren’t really within my control

Equipment wise the main way I will solve this issue is by having a complete formal list of
equipment that I’m taking and making sure it is transportable.

The problem of not being able to reshoot is very serious and I need to have a well listed plan
so that I can get the footage I need in the time I have out there

Audio issues again will fall under the equipment side of things and I would have to make
sure that audio is collected and isn’t failing to record at the time

Organisation problems can be solved by having a thorough plan making sure I’m on top of
everything

Visas problems would be down to me making sure all my passports and documents are up
to date

To solve permission problems would be down to make making the correct research into
permissions in order to make sure I don’t violate any rules.

Language barriers are out of my control and can be solved by others that know simple
Shona or other languages.

Problems with gender cannot be solved however I can make sure that I am sympathetic to
the situation.

I can’t control the climate however can work with it I will have to plan ahead for situations
that might occur.
