What are the contributions of social science in understanding Human and Societal
condition?

Social institutions are the structures that enable a society to function. They serve as
a society's backbone, and they help organize society and its people. It is also part of
sociology, as it is a science of society. Social science can help the economy to monitor its
changes and have its growth. SocSci can help religions make people aware of other
beliefs and cultures to promote peace in the community. SocSci can help the government
to improve its welfare and good governance. SocSci can help families strengthening their
communication and their relationships. SocSci can also allow for the betterment of
education for the students to ready them with the world. Collectively, Social sciences can
help these institutions by means of making solutions optimized and more efficient. These
can greatly affect each of these institutions for the greater good as it can easily diminish
the time needed to solve an issue that hungers for broad research. It could possibly
influence these institutions in terms of applying methods of social science towards a
specific goal of the given institute. The study of human behavior within a social context
is crucial towards the societal institutions: the economy, education, religion, family, and
government.

B.) ‘’HUMSS Ka Lang’’: (Empowerment Essay)

 "HUMSS ka lang?" feels so outdated or corny these days. It shows how people are
uneducated about the strands. People only recognize the two math-focused strands as
successful. They think it's superior to the other, which is wrong. Others say that it's easy
being in the HUMSS strand compared to others. We often hear that, the comparison to
different math-majored strands. Just because we don't tackle many mathematical
equations doesn't mean it's that easy. Reading, writing, and speaking are just some of the
counterparts of math in this strand.

Understanding humans is quite complicated. That's why we, HUMSS students, are solid
and flexible individuals. HUMSS students have an emphatic heart. We can endure
people's behavior even if we are frown upon, just from the discrimination and stereotypes
we hear so often that we're only just used to it now. Personally, being a HUMSS student
is not just all about the focus on other people. It is also about the understanding and
improvement of oneself in the process. Choosing HUMSS for me is pretty tricky, as it is
not my strength. But I decided to pick it for the above reason. For those whose skills are
in alignment with this strand, stand proud of it!

HUMSS is not an easy strand regarding dealing with people, whether in public or not.
Maybe for those whose forte is this strand's specialization, well, yes, it can be easy for
them. But how about the ones who aren't but still want to pursue this strand's focus? Of
course, it isn't. And does being an educator, a speaker, a debater, and a servant look easy?
Being able to come up with something logical on the spot and express it seems simple?
That's why before you think of it as basic, consider thinking it again. "HUMSS Ka!"
