Writing Practice Week 7

Topic: A big salary is much more important than job satisfaction. To what extent do you agree
or disagree?

Opinions are divided on whether people should let the amount of salary be much more important
than their satisfaction with their current jobs. I believe that job satisfaction is more vital than a
large amount of payment for two main reasons.

First of all, job dissatisfaction can lead to poor work attitude and reduced productivity. In other
words, if you do not love what you are doing, you will be able to perform it with lack of
responsibility and fulfilment. As a result, your employment is not ensured and you could lose it.

In addition, job pleasure can provide us with daily and long-term happiness, whereas money
cannot. For example, if you appreciate your current job, you will enjoy doing it every day
without feeling bored or inattentive. However, when you do an unsuitable job and you must do it
every weekday, even if it is a high-paying job, you are going to be unhappy and exhausted.
Therefore, you must ask yourself if the money is worth-it to exchange with your happy life.

In conclusion, I disagree with the idea that a huge salary is better than satisfaction from work due
to the loss of jobs and the unhappiness and exhausted health statement that workers have to
suffer from.
