Task 1: The maps below show Pebbleton 20 years ago and today.

Summarise the information by

selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pictures illustrate how changes that took place in a town called Pebbleton for 20 years.
Overall, the town underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the
expansion of more roads and a lot of accommodation areas catering for the increase in the population in
the town.
In the North West, an old fort was constructed into a new-bigger children’s playground, and in the South
West, there used to be a film studio, but it was then redeveloped into flats to give more space to live. In
the center of downtown, it also saw dramatic changes, with tennis courts and community centre being
constructed along Lighthouse Lane; moreover, a walkway and footbridge were extended near flats that
connect with school. Similarly, the accommodation area near Lighthouse Lane was erected with three
houses.
In the North East, the green area no changes were made to. Likewise, the roadbridge was also
unchanged throughout the period in the West East.

Task 2: Many people argue that in order to improve educational quality, high school students should
be encouraged to make comments or even criticism on their teachers (methods are appropriate).
Others think it will lead to loss of respect and discipline in the classroom. Discuss both views and give
your own opinion.
Many people suppose that high school learners should be advocated to make comments or even
criticism on their teachers to improve education quality, while others argue that it will result in a loss of
respect and discipline. In my opinion, I agree that students who give their opinions will lack of respect
and discipline in the classroom.
On the one hand, the best way to improve the quality of education is to receive feedback s from
learners. For instance, sometimes, teachers teach them too fast so that most students fail to retain the
information. Without the comments of students, teachers may not know whether their teaching
methods are appropriate and cannot make a lesson plan more interesting. Moreover, it is the best way
to encourage students to study by themselves more responsibly. In addition, by receiving opinions from
their students, teachers can give teaching methods are suitable in each class or in each subject.

On the other hand, I believe that if students give their opinions to teachers, they may feel anxious and
think students do not respect them. For example, although learners give positive ideas to teachers, they
may think these opinions in many cases, which will make them uncomfortable with their students.
Moreover, they also think that students lack of respect and discipline in such study environments
because teachers can be vulnerable to the negative words of students. Certainly, respecting our
teachers is the most important rule at school so that students should not give their comments to
teachers and make them feel unhappy.

In conclusion, students should not make comments or even criticism to teachers is better than give
opinions on their teachers in order to improve education quality.
