AGENDA POINTS IN R&M REVIEW MEETING WITH M/S.VOITH HYDRO ON

08.02.2023 AT HPS NIZAMSAGAR

R&M WORKS STATUS OF HPS (2X5 MW) NIZAMSAGAR

1. PO placed for Renovation and modernization of Nizamsagar Power House (2X5 MW)
vide PO.No: 5300001156, DT: 23.03.2020.
2. Both the units HPS (2X5 MW) NIZAMSAGAR handed over to M/s. Voith on 09.11.2022
for taking up the R&M works.
3. Zero date for initiating the R&M works is 11.11.2022.
4. De watering system works (Removal of silt from pits) is initiated on 14.11.2022.

WORKS TO BE TAKEN UP IMMEDIATELY BY M/S VOITH WHICH ARE LINKED

WITH GENERATOR FLOOR SLAB WORKS

5. Dismantling of Unit #1, 2 governing system including complete pipeline beneath

chequer plates & valves etc to be taken up immediately after checking of runner and
guide vane opening.
6. Checking of Unit #1 runner and guide vane opening to be taken up immediately.
7. Dismantling of Unit #3 governing system and its connected pipeline shall be taken up.
8. Dismantling of Unit #1 GOP system and its connected equipments including pipeline
beneath chequer plates & valves etc to be taken up after checking of runner and guide
vane opening.
9. Unit #1, 2 Generator barrel (Outer Cover) to be removed.
10. Dismantling of Generator CO2 system, its pipeline & valves etc to be taken up
immediately.

WORKS TO BE TAKEN UP IMMEDIATELY BY M/S VOITH

11. Starter panels of Pit 1 and 2 de watering pumps to be supplied and erection and
commissioning to be taken up immediately on top priority.
12. Dewatering common discharge pipe line to be extended up to coffer dam outer
boundary
13. 200 NB flange to be erected for pit#1 discharge line to provide DT gates movement.
14. Construction of new storage shed in power house premises to be taken up
immediately on top priority to store the dismantled critical equipments which will be
reinstalled again.
15. 33KV switchyard accessories shall be supplied immediately to initiate commissioning
works of SAT and its protection panels.
16. SAT commissioning to be taken up immediately on top priority.
17. EPF particulars for work men to be provided at the earliest.
18. M/s. Voith has to increase the work men as the construction of coffer dam is
completed and tail race de watering is in progress.
19. Revised dismantling schedule to be submitted immediately on top priority.
20. Erection and commissioning of battery charger to be taken up as the new battery
bank is available at site.
21. Gate is to be provided for outdoor storage area near colony premises to
safeguard the material.
22. Control room works to be taken up immediately.
23. Dismantling of cables to be taken up.

WORKS CARRIED OUT BY M/S VOITH

1. 125KVA Diesel Generator erection, commissioning and testing works are carried out.
2. Dismantling of air oil vessels and its connected equipments like pipes & valves, air
compressor are completed for unit 2.
3. Dismantling of lube oil motors and it connected equipments like pipes & valves by
draining the lube oil from lube oil sump are completed.
4. Dismantling of lube oil coolers and its connected equipments like pipes and valves of
Unit-1& Unit-2 are completed.
5. Dismantling of turbine gauge panel of Unit-1, 2& 3 are completed.
6. Dismantling of UABs of Unit-1, 2&3 are completed.
7. Erection of de watering pumps in de watering pit 1 and pit 2 is completed.
8. Fabrication, welding, painting works of dewatering individual and common header
pipes are completed.
9. Dismantling of governor oil pumps and its connected equipments like pipes and valves
by draining the governor oil from governor oil sump of Unit 2 are completed.
10. Various scrap material were removed from work shop at Turbine floor.
11. Dismantling of Pilot exciter, Main Exciter works of Unit 2 are completed.
12. Dismantling works of generator slip ring and generator barrel Top cover of unit 2 are
completed.
13. Generator shaft and UGB pads clearance measurement works of Unit 2 is carried out.
14. Unit #2 air gap measuring between stator and rotor is completed and also gap at top
and bottom of the rotor poles to stator winging is also completed.

WORKS UNDER PROGRESS BY M/S VOITH

1. Unit #3 governor system foundation chipping works are in progress.

2. Dismantling of Thrust collar and upper guide bearing of Unit#2 is in progress.

POINTS TO BE DISCUSSED

1. The reassemble of Pilot, Main exciters and Governor Alternator will not take place and
the runner oil header assembly shall be accommodated just above the generator slip
rings for both Unit-1 and 2. Hence necessary modifications shall be taken care
accordingly by M/s Voith.
2. Previously 33KV XLPE cable was proposed for SAT HV side as the 33kv height of the
terminals are very low from ground. But during discussion it is concluded that, over
head ACSR conductor will be sufficient from taping the 33 KV line bus.
3. The over head ACSR conductor shall be laid diagonally from 33KV switchyard SAT post
insulator end to 500KVA SAT bay.
4. Machining to be done for generator slip ring of unit 2.
5. Procurement of auto strainers for the unit 1 and 2 to be taken up
6. Fire fighting system for Generator protection.
