1. If there’s no globalization, how would your life be?

(300 words)

To answer this question, I must consider the effects of globalization in this

present time so I can simply diminish these and think of another possible reality where I
am without globalization. As I observe this question, I can think of many ways to answer
but I think three hundred words of the essay will do for the reader to get what my point
is.

Globalization is simply a term used to describe how trade and technology have
made the world a more connected and interdependent place (national geographic.org).
From its definition, globalization is really what makes up the globe or the world today.
Starting from the voyages of the people to colonize or trade, or share information with
other countries, I can simply say that globalization is part of the history that makes up
the world today. I am a Filipino, a Christian, and my country has been colonized by two
or more countries, of course, culture, technology, foreign products, and services have
been absorbed by Filipinos. Even the name of the country has been given to us by a
colonizer, so what would my life be without globalization? I could have not been born, or
if I still exist here in the Philippines, I think I will be a pagan or a Muslim, I also think that
we couldn’t have what we have today because the progress here in this country is so
slow. I think that I am not wearing what I wear today, maybe I’m naked or just wearing a
piece of cloth, maybe I am not typing on a laptop, and there’s also a possibility that I will
turn into a female. If there’s no globalization, ideas, thoughts, and principles that came
from other countries that are critical in our daily lives will be gone and will vitally change
Filipino’s course of life. My life would be different.

I can say that globalization is a good thing though it also has disadvantages. I am
thankful to God that He allowed globalization to exist for us Filipinos to know
Christianity, and also to progress with the help of other countries. I always consider that
humans make up the world, and we’re the chosen creatures to take care of it so we
must do what we can and do what is right to preserve the planet and its inhabitants.
