PRELIMINARY Prayer:
ACTIVITIES
Teacher: “ May I request everyone to please stand for our opening
prayer “

“Dear Lord,
Thank you for the gift of life. Give us today the knowledge
and wisdom we need to understand our lesson. Guide our
teacher so that he may teach us the lesson well. This is
our prayer, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.”

Greetings:

The teacher will greet the student and vice-versa.

Teacher: “Good morning class!”


Student: “ Good morning teacher”

Attendance:

The teacher will look on the seat plan to check who are not
present.

Teacher: “Very good, since no one is absent today let’s give


ourselves a round of applause”

Classroom Management:
a. Pick up pieces of paper around your seats.
b. Raise your hand before saying something.
c. Participate during group work.
d. Do not talk when someone is talking, learn to listen.

Checking of Assignments:

Teacher: “Did you do your assignment? Kindly pass it in front in the


count of 5 1,2,3!”

Review:

The teacher will ask the students about the previous topic.
Teacher: “Anyone who can share in the class what was our
topic yesterday?”

Student 1: “Our topic yesterday is about Mental Health”

Teacher: “Very good! Now, can you tell me what Mental


Health is?”

Student 2: “Mental Health includes our emotional,


psychological and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel
and act. “

Teacher: “Yes, correct! In other words the definition of


mental health is a condition of wellbeing in which each person is
aware of who they are. Own potential, is able to manage life's
usual stressors, is able to work efficiently and effectively, and is
able to contribute to their community.

Teacher: “Anyone who can give me an example of Mental


Health problem based on our topic yesterday”

Student 3: “Anxiety disorder”

Student 4: “Depression”

Student 5: “Eating disorder”

Teacher: “Very good it seems like you are already familiar


about Mental Health”
Motivation:
A1. ACTIVITY
BOUHIN MO AKO!!

● The teacher will group the students into two groups, each
group must have one representative. Representative should
arrange the rambled letters to form a word. The first group
who can give the correct words will the winner and will be
given an extra point.

● Eustress

Teacher: “What have you observed on our activity?”

Student: “I think our topic for today Ma’am is all about


stress”

Teacher: “Very good, that’s right. Have you encountered


any kind of stress?”

Students: “Yes, Ma’am”

1. Read the following situations and look at the picture.


Each of you will be given a smile and sad faces. All you
have to do is raise the smiling face if you consider the
situation exciting and raise the sad if the situation is
depressing.

about Stress, Eustress and Distress”

A3. ABSTRACTION Discussion:

The teacher will discuss the lesson to the class.

Stress- is a state of stress, either emotionally or


physically. Any circumstance or idea that gives you
cause for annoyance, rage, or anxiety can trigger
it. Your body's response to a demand or challenge
is stress. Stress can occasionally be
advantageous, such as when it keeps you safe or
helps you reach a deadline.

Eustress- a positive form of stress having a


beneficial effect on health, motivation,
performance, and emotional well-being. During
positive stress.

Distress- great pain, anxiety, or sorrow;


acute physical or mental suffering .

A4. APPLICATION EH SHARE MO NA!

OBJECTIVE: The student will be able to get up in front of the class


by sharing their most stressful event that has occurred during their
life, by writing a short speech. The teacher will choose two
students to share their story. Being able to speech for 5 minutes

VALUING Teacher: “How do you typically respond to stressful events in your


life?”
Student: “Praying Ma’am”
Student: “Sometimes I go walking Ma’am it’s my kind of stress
reliever”
Student: “Making myself busy Ma’am”
Teacher: “Very good answers.”
Teacher: “Do you allow yourself to sit with stress and use the
stressful energy constructively?”
Student: “Yes Ma’am”
Student: “It’s a must Ma’am so that you can see good things in
every bad situation”
Student: “Very good class! “
