Material: Progress Check Unit2, Page 14, Interchange 1, 4th Edition by Jack C. Richards with
Jonathan Hull and Susan Proctor.
Duration: 30 minutes
Target item:

 Present simple with third person singular


 Time expression
Aims: To revise:
1. Some forms of present simple: Positive, Negative, Who question, and Yes/no question
2. Pronunciation of verb with third person singular with present simple
3. How to use time expression with the simple present
Objectives: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

 Recall the above target item (knowledge)


 Use the above target language items accurately and fluently through several speaking
practice activities (skills).
 Know the value of all jobs and respect all people (attitude)
Pre- Speaking Stage (5 mins)
1. Revise some common word in activity 3A &3B on Page 9.
Main Speaking Stage (10 mins)
1. The teacher asks the students to do Activity 1A &1B on Page 14

1. Let the students do Activity 2

Post-Speaking Activity (5 mins)


Writing Activity
- Ask every student to write about daily habit from the morning until night.
- Let them swap their letters with each other and read them, then give some comments on their
partner’s letter.
- Ask them to revise their letter
Developing Positive Attitude (5 mins)
- Go through the following as a whole class.
a) Do you think every person should have a job? Why?
b) Is it a good idea to learn a new experience from any jobs?
c) Are all the jobs valuable?
Lesson Closure (5 mins)
- Praise the class for the excellent practice, and say goodbye to the class.
