Subject: EXTENSION OF THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND WORK IN MANLILISID NATIONAL
HIGH SCHOOL, MANLILISID, JAVIER, LEYTE ON JANUARY 12, 2023

Date: January 12, 2023


1. With the absence of issued Executive Order from the Local Chief Executive of the Municipality of
Javier, Leyte, the issuance of Red Rainfall Warning by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council on Tuesday, January 12, 2023 at 2:29AM placing the entire Province of Leyte
under the said rainfall warning classification and DepEd Order No. 37 s 2022, Guidelines on the
Cancellation or Suspension of Classes and Work in School in the Event of Natural Disasters, Power
Outrages/Power Interruptions, and other Calamities, serves as the basis for this order.

2. In this connection, Classes and Work in Manlilisid National High School on Wednesday, January 12,
2023 is hereby extended to be suspended.

3. Accordingly, the SBDRRM is activated to address for any eventuality of danger that this weather
disturbance may cause to students and school employees.

4. The SBDRRM Team is also advised to be on alert and to coordinate with the Municipal Local
Government Unit of Javier, Leyte and with the Division DRRM for reports and assistance requests if
possible.

5. All teachers are advised to adopt Modular Distance Learning Program as specified in the Learning
Continuity Plan giving premium to Literacy and Numeracy, through class group chats to ensure the
continuity of learning of all students, while the temporary suspension of classes and work are in effect.

6. All teaching, Non-teaching Personnel and All others concerned are directed to perform the necessary
precautionary measures including information dissemination to all students and to secure all delicate
things including teaching materials, office supplies and movable school properties so as not to be
damaged by the heavy rains.

7. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this memorandum is desired.
