LESSON PLAN IN KINDERGARTEN

Quarter 4

I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the module, you are expected to:
a. Know the proper way of taking care of the environment;
b. Understand why we need to take care of the environment; and
c. Answer the given evaluation.

II. Learning Content


Topic: Ang Atong Palibot
Reference: Kindergarten Quarter 4- Module 4
Materials: Laptop, TV, PowerPoint, Manila paper, Crayons, Scotch tape, glue
Subject Integration: Arts, Numeracy, ICT, Music, and P.E.
Value Focus: Taking care of the environment.

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activity
1. Daily Routine

Opening Prayer
Action Song: Langgam Naglupad-lupad
2. Motivation
The teacher will have a PPT presentation about where to throw biodegradable, recyclable, and non-biodegradable.

The teacher will ask the following:


 How many trash can do you see?
 How many letters are in the word “Malata”?
“Magamit pa”?
“Dili Malata”?
 Where do you think these trashes go?
 Why do we need to throw them in the proper trash can?
Meeting Time 1
A. Presentation
The teacher will show a video presentation about the proper way of taking care of the environment.

B. Group Activity (Differentiated Activities)


The teacher will group the children into 2-3 group according on the number of students. Let them choose a leader. Remind them of
the safety protocols.
a. Setting of Standard
Before we start, we have standards to be followed:
 Follow instructions
 Follow proper health protocol
 Each member should cooperate in the group
 Choose a leader to present or say something about the work.
Group 1- Coloring activity/ matching type

Group 2- Recycling Activity


The students will make something new out of the recycled materials given to them.

Group 3- Drama about proper waste disposal


The children will have a small skit about proper waste disposal.

C. Analysis
Group reporting and reflection of their presentation.

D. Valuing
The teacher will ask:
 As a child how will you help contribute to helping taking care of the environment?
 What will happen to us if we don’t take care of the environment?
 What will happen to the animals living in the wild if we don’t take care of the environment?

E. Abstraction
The teacher will show some pictures, let the students identify if they are good for the environment or bad for the environment. If
the answer is bad for the environment, let them suggest a way to make it into good.

F. Application
 Where do you throw your trash or waste?
 In what way should you throw your trash?
 What other way can you help take care of the environment?
 Why should we take good care of our environment?
IV. Evaluation
Put a smile face if the picture shows a good example of taking care of the environment and a sad face if not.

V. Assignment
In a 1 whole bond paper, cut pictures of examples that shows about taking care of the environment.
