Puzzle Activity
Direction: The teacher will group the class into 3. I will give each group an envelope
that has puzzle picture inside, they should arrange the puzzle into each original picture
form and the group will finish first the task correctly will be the winner.

Group 1 – a woman throwing can in a trash bin.


Group 2 – a teacher throwing plastic bottle in a trash bin.

Sorting my Trash
Ask: I have here a trashcan beside my teacher’s table. I want you to help me dispose this
garbage by sorting them into proper trash bins. Are you ready to help teacher?

F. Finding Practical Applications of Concepts and Skills (ELABORATE 1)


Let pupils go back to their group.
I. Activity: Segregating trash by station: 1) home; 2) school (5 minutes)

Directions:
1. The class will be divided into 2 groups.
2. Go to your assigned station.
3. Collect all the waste in your station and put it in the eco- bag with bio-degradable and
non-biodegradable labels.
4. List the materials in activity sheet given by your teacher.
5. Group the materials according to the following properties: biodegradable, non-
biodegradable.
5. Present your work.

1. What waste materials are found in your station? What are the properties of each of
the waste materials?

in a biodegradable trashcan or NBD if it is to be thrown in a non-biodegradable
trashcan.
